Yay, we finally figured out what we're having at our reception. The package is called the 'Le President' (ha). Check it out:

Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya

Fried Catfish Strips

Chicken Drumettes

BBQ Meatballs

Crawfish Pies

Finger Sandwiches

Freshly Cut Fruit

Sweet Table Assortment (Truffles, Chocolate Covered Strawberries, etc.)

Sounds delicious, no? Can you tell I'm from Cajuntown?

The best part of this place is the food!

We're having the reception in a really nice fine arts building downtown.

It all sounds really good! I''d love to eat the food at your wedding any day!

Yeah! Sounds yummy! Love the theme!!

Can I come?

mmmm with a yummy kinda cajun menu like that I feel like you should have bengets (sp?) and chicory coffee!

YUM! I went to LSU and my DH is from Southern Louisiana. The only thing that would make that menu better are some sweet potato pies:-)

Bella- I didn't realize you were from around here! Fiance and I live in North Louisiana, but I grew up in CenLA. Parents are there so that's where we're having the wedding. Our menu is clearly South LA-inspired. Fiance and I are hoping to end up in NOLA in a few years.

HH- Beignets sound amazing! That is such a good idea. I bet the catering company would do them if I asked.

Our menu is a little different.. we're not really having a cajun-inspired wedding or anything. My parents are actually from North Carolina, but have been in LA for 30 years now. I think people here will really enjoy the jambalaya and crawfish though. I know I will!

What an awesomely delicious menu!!!!!!!

:-) I live in NYC but came down south for two years to get my masters, DH and I met in Boston but he''s from southern LA and his whole family still lives there. We''re going down for the week before easter and they are planning a giant crawfish boil since we haven''t been there in crawfish season for a few years.
