Finally, after 2.5 years, I got a good "portrait" type photo of my youngest cat. She''s very beautiful but any time I try to take her picture she looks away or it comes out funny. So I wanted to share with you guys. Anybody else got good potrait shots of cats, dogs, or children?

Awww, what a little princess! It came out great!

Here''s a good one of one of my kitties when she was a kitten. She was sort of ugly, all scraggly with her baby fur still growing out lol. But it was adorable.

Awwww how sweet! I don''t have any good pics of our animals I don''t think..not pretty ones like this! I dunno if Bella would be the most photogenic subject..she''s got some issues from, I''m guessing, inbreeding, so yeah..she''s the BEST cat on Earth but..she''s not going to be a Cover Kitty. Britta gives the Evil Eye all the time, so I worry if I posted a picture everyone would turn to stone if they looked at it. Well...I guess that''s more Medusa than Evil Eye, but still..there''s a reason JD calls her Devil Cat.

Aw Monkey! Pretty kitty! Britta and Bella are Torties too!

Awww- those are so professional looking! I love them. I love cats too. Let me see if I can find a pic of two of my cats...

This is Louie. It was with the flash although I love your guys'' pictures without the flash.

This is Lucky. :-)

MonkeyPie, I like your kitties orange streak in the middle of her forehead. Did that stay as she grew?

Luckie and Louie are so so beautiful.

One of my cats is seriously photogenic. Almost every picture I take of him is amazing. Here is one.

Very good looking kitties, everyone!

I'll have to skim through my photos later when I get a chance.

Iluv, those look great! I love how shiny their fur looks with flash, I just feel bad doing it in the dark cause they always squint at me after lol.

y2kitty, yes, her little orange streak stayed, though now it is a lot more off to the side. That little bit of orange is why we even picked her out of the litter! She''s such an easygoing, laid-back kitty. Not a lap cat for sure, but she loves to be petted and brushed - and now her fur is HUGE, she looks like a beast lol.

This is one of my favorites of our "firstborn", Cleo. She is our photogenic kitty, it''s like she poses for me when she sees the camera lol.

Here is my mom''s Bichon- Gracie. I thought this was hilarious.

This is just an up close shot, but it''s one of my favorites of my late kitty, fene (no we didn''t name him). He died about two years ago. :-(

Oh and sorry I am posting so many, but this is the other most hilarious picture of Louie. He has a bit of a belly (that's an understatement

Oh my gosh! Lilylover that is a BEAUTIFUL picture! I am in awe of people who can capture these types/style of pictures. That's amazing.

Oooh, these are some gorgeous kitties! Here is one of my two fur balls - not quite as artistic, but it is rare I can get them to both look at the camera at the same time!

Oh he was BEAUTIFUL! And what a great shot!

Here is my fave closeup of Poofy (the previously posted black kitten) as an adult. She tolerated me about an inch from her eyes pretty well lol. And you can see me reflected there, too.

LOVING the pics!! I'm sorry about Fene, Lily

I love taking pics of the furbabies

Sometimes I get some really nice ones, too, where they're looking just right, but the background is all wrong! I really need to learn to photoshop or something

I have three pics to share. The first is of my parents kitty - He's a 5yo "mistake" we got from a friend at 4wks, I call him Flea.

Next up are two of ours, Gretta (tortie) and Garett (black) - shelter rescues that were impossible to pick up for the first couple of weeks - they had URIs and were constantly coated in goo. Still cute, though

Gretta is a purring machine.

ETA: Monkey, I just noticed that Gretta and Poofy both have light patches on their left eyelids

Our ex-feral Mina. She's been with us for five months now, and she's doing wonderfully

She's the hardest to take picture of - she refuses to stand still, and when she does she insists on squinting or glaring, so getting a shot with her eyes wide open was quite the triumph

Here''s one of the real Zoe.

The real Zoe looks so pensive!!!

Love all your pictures.

I love all those kitty pictures! I''m a total cat person! Will have to get a pic of my kitties up.

Lily - Fene was a very handsome cat. It looks like he was on the hunt in that photo. Very nice shot!

It''s going to take me a bit to find the best of the kitty shots. . .Here''s one that I like. This is Phillip. One of the best kitties in the world. Sadly we had to give him up for adoption when we moved because he was a "hunter" and needed more room to roam.

Sillyberry, what kind of cat is the on the left? It looks just like my baby (see left) and nobody knows what he is

Here is was in his ultra hunter-gatherer phase!

Beautiful pictures, guys!! Taking portraits of my kitties is one of my hobbies, so I hope you don't mind if I share...

This is Fuzzy (RIP). Her eyes really were that blue, no Photoshop needed!

This is a picture of Sita, which I desaturated with Photoshop. I''ve had 13 cats total (not all at one time!), so I will spare you all their portraits. These two photos were my favorite. :)

My sweet scottie, Lucy girl! :) Just thought I''d throw in a pup on this cat thread. I LOVE cats but I''ve got two dogs that keep my hands full right now.

aw, why is it so small? any tips on how to make the photos bigger without going over the 100k limit? i''m still so confused by picture posting.

Well, the two cats are actually brother and sister (I witnessed their birth, otherwise I wouldn''t believe it!), so Oliver isn''t a purebred anything, but best the vet can tell his dominant trait is Himalayan.
