OK, who watched and who were you cheering for? I''m a huge Giants fan so, last nights win was amazing for us fans! I was not impressed by the commercials, but the game was definitely action packed! YAY GIANTS!!!!!!!

Ugh, Patriots fans here.

Needless to say, we were not happy.

My sister''s husband was in tears - I never thought I would see him cry! He''s been a fan since he was a little boy and his father buys season tickets which he splits with him every year. We always go to the games with him and I must admit at the beginning of the year, we were doubtful.

BUT what a comeback and what an incredible team!!!! Not to mention, what a nail biter that game was! I love those kinds of games....

Haven, the Patriots had an awesome run! They certainly put the Giants to the test. Both teams can walk with their heads held high!

It''s a sad day in Boston today--it''s cold, it''s cloudy and everybody is depressed. Needless to say, I don''t think anybody here has their head held up high, especially not the Pats.

Indeed! That''s the way every superbowl game should be, imo.

Rooted for the "large NY men".

Yeah, I can understand, but to be 18-0 is quite an accomplishment for any team.

Ooops I just noticed that I wrote Giant in my topic instead of Giants - the excitement is making it hard to type!

I wasn''t cheering for either team and thank god my husband wasn''t either because it drives me up the wall to hear him yelling at the referies through the TV screen!!!

We''re Seahawk fans, so the we only wanted the Giants to win because the Patriots beat the Hawks during the playoffs.

Hey, the Pats are an a amazing team, maybe the best in football ever. But I am not feeling sorry for them with THREE Superbowl wins and a perfect season too. All good things can come to an end, the Giants just played amazingly last night and Tom Brady was shown not to be superhuman. I think most people just assumed it would be a rout, so I was glad it was a tight game and it might have been one of the best Superbowl''s ever. I love that Archie Manning, who never made it to the post season, has two sons who won back to back Superbowls and were MVP''s. That is historical and very cool. I too was a bit underwhelmed by the commercials but thought Tom Petty put on a great show.

Yeah, I love Tom Petty. That''s the best halftime entertainment they''ve had in a long time.

I can totally relate to the excitement. Saturday night one of mine and bf''s best friends got married here in New York, it was quite fitting because we are all HUGE giants fans. They handed out Giants pins at the reception. The wedding was amazing and everyone was looking forward to the game on Sunday. Well, since none of us got to bed before 4am on Saturday night/Sunday morning, we all decided to do our own thing for the game. So, dear BF and I watched the game on our couch with the terrace door open because it was so steamy inside the apartment and every play that was made you could hear people cheering outside on the streets of NY. At the end of the game there were tears rolling down my boyfriends cheeks and I truly couldn''t have been happier for him. As an die hard METS fan for his whole life it was great to see one of his teams he is passionate about follow thru on a season and come out victorious. GO GIANTS!

Oh, also, the commercials were not that great but my best friend and roommmate from college was in one so that was kind of cool to see. She does a lot of them and is on a soap but I think this is the first time that I have seen one so many other people were watching at the same time.

Welll.....I''m a Packer fan all the way, but I was rooting for the Giants to give an upset. They came to play and played hard. Plus I always love the underdogs! Though I was not so impressed by the commercials! Hardly any of them were funny whatsoever.

I had really wanted it to be Packers and Patriots, but was happy with the outcome. I just wish the commercials had been better. I usually love them during the bowl, which is rare for me. But this was a tight and exciting game, and a real nail biter down to the end!

Being from Boston, I love the Pats!! My hubby is a Giants fan (from CT). Too bad the Pats lost,

My thoughts exactly diamondfan - you can''t exactly feel bad for the Patriots who have 3 SB wins under their belts. BUT, they are an amazing team (just not as amazing as the Giants

) This was definitely one game for the history books!

In other exciting news, the ticker tape parade is going to be in my neighborhood downtown...I think DH is going to watch tomorrow!

we were rooting for the PATS, though i have to give props to the GIANTS for getting to brady like they did. bummed as i am about the outcome, it was a much more interesting game to me than past PATS wins.

Ditto. The hub and I were the only ones in our group who were cheering for the Giants. TGuy says it''s because of "tall poppy" syndrome. I wanted a packers/pats SB, but if I couldn''t have that, it was Giants all the way.

Plus, Tom Brady is just too Mr. Stud for me. I have a soft spots for the less studly.

I just got a bit annoyed with the hype. TB is handsome, has won 3 bowls and dates a super model. I am not crying over him losing his fourth bowl. Simply put the Giants brought their best yesterday. It does not matter if you win 18 in a row, each game is its own situation and the Giants, whatever their record etc, came in and got the job done! It was exciting and historical too, some of those catches were amazing!
