Wedding Funny W-band story

Last night I had our wedding bands out and I put mine on and held it up to FI and asked him "isn''t it beautiful?" Probably for the millionth time! He jumped up and said "ooh can I put mine on too?" So I hand him his ring and he put it on.

Then he goes "hmmm it''s really tight... my hands must be puffy... it IS a little warm in here...."

So I look up at him and see the perplexed look on his face and I jump up thinking "Oh god, did he gain weight?"

Then he pulls at it and says "Oh my god it''s stuck!"

So I run over to him thinking "Oh no the wedding is on Tuesday and his ring doesn''t fit!" I''m freaking out inside because I had his ring custom-made with a little diamond inside and this is supposed to be the one we marry with!

I get over to see that he has the ring on his middle finger!!!!!

I start laughing at him and teasing that he doesn''t know which finger is his ring finger.

He starts panicking, going "Oh my god I can''t wear this to work tomorrow they''ll all laugh at me!" and starts really yanking at the ring

I say "Uh that''s the last of your worries, your finger is starting to turn blue.... We need to get it off now or they''ll have to cut it off!"

Then I think "Oh no they can''t cut it off! There is a diamond inside and the ring will be destroyed!"

So I drag him into the bathroom, we run cold water on it and I start dumping lotion all over the place. And pop!... it comes off!


Ahhh... I think I am really going to miss this part of our lives where are entering "grown up world" for the first time. It''s been so much fun!

This story is hilarious. I can imagine my FI doing the same thing, although I hope, after listening to me blabber about rings for months, he knows which finger it goes on.

btw... forget cold water... spray windex... turns your finger into a slip and slide... ring will pop right off

my FI and i have had a similar situation several times because, weirdly, both of us have a larger ring finger on the right hand, and since we''re both kinda being superstitious about putting the rings on the left hand before the wedding, we always test run them on the right hand instead. the really bad one was when my FI decided to put on MY RING...i don''t even want to THINK about the crap his coworkers would''ve given him if he came strolling into work wearing a 1.01 carat radiant!

Hey...i never recieved crap when i strolled into work wearing 1.01 carat radiant(okay mines a princess cut)...but no crap from co-workers.
