French Policeman Murdered

A French policeman was murdered on The Champs Elysées yesterday. I thought that there must, already, be a thread about this, so I was going to add this link about a specific aspect to the tragedy to the thread. If such a thread already exists, I did not see it. This link is to an article about the policeman's life. He had a very interesting and heroic background, and was active in LGBT causes.

I was going to Post this as well about how dangerous ISIS is. But felt it would be ignored just like my other posts.

But thank you for bringing it here. My heart goes out to the families and to all of France who have had to endure yet another Terrorist attack.

The irony to this tragedy is that the more attacks there are before the French elections, the more support Marine Le Pen will get. That is what ISIS wants, since they want to divide France. Perhaps it is not irony; perhaps it is ISIS strategy. Not that I have proof ISIS was behind this last attack. They claimed they were, but they hardly have sterling characters.

I agree that this is only pushing governments to elect more hard lined far leaning right governments.

But I do not understand ISIS's strategy behind how this would help them? Just makes their infiltration more difficult.

I assure you that ISIS does not fear Marine Le Pen. ISIS would rejoice in a victory by Marine Le Pen. Why? Divide et impera. Divide and conquer (or "divide and rule"). Attributed to Philip of Macedon (who didn't speak Latin since it hadn't been invented yet). Chaos amongst the enemy is helpful.
