Ok so one of the things left on my list of stuff to do is get the tuxes squared away. We took care of picking them out and what we wanted for vests and such earlier on but we didnt go in for measuring until last week. The tux shop owner said about a month before the wedding.
I had been worrying about it though since, if there was an issue, we wouldnt have a whole lot of time to fix it. But he assured me there would be no problem, even when i told him how large my FI and his father were. Anyway, I ended up just going along with it since he was one of the few places that had a brown tux. ANyway, in the meant time ive bought and gotten altered all my bridesmaids and MOB and MOG dresses.
Fast forward to yesterday at the tux place, he cannot get a tux long enough for my FI nor can he get one large enough for FI''s father. I am in disbelief. I planned my whole color scheme around having brown tuxes and now, a month away, there is a problem getting them. There are two other places that carry brown tuxes however it is the same problem with both of them too (since its a manufacturer thing), they dont carry it in the XL for FI and they dont make them high enough to fit his dad. I just knew something like this was going to happen which is why i wanted this all squared away months ago.
Im going to have to spend this month looking for a brown tux made by someone other then Yves I guess. Or try purchasing them, but Ill never get matching ones. I guess I could try brown suits but I dont really care for the idea and I am really not a fan of the black tuxes with brown bridesmaids dresses.
