Wedding FOUND MY DRESS!!

I haven''t posted at all about my dress experience, but since I found my dress, I''ll spill. When I started looking, I was open to ANYTHING. Went to Brides by Demetrios and found a beautiful Venetian lace gown. I LIKED it, but wasn''t sold. I felt like everything in every store, magazine, etc. was heavily beaded, not my style. Went to another store and found something that I liked but didn''t LOVE. I was starting to feel that dress shopping was not my thing, I didn''t get that "OMG THIS IS MY DRESS" feeling EVER and just didn''t feel like that would happen. Fast forward to tonight, I went to a local boutique and FOUND IT! It is a Pronovias!! (I was like, I see these gowns A LOT on my bridal forum)

It''s cheaper than the Demetrios which means I can get the beautiful lace veil (that costs a ton

) Here is a photo of my fabulous gown, Of course, it is not me in it because my camera died and didn''t work at the boutique!!

GORGESS! Don''t feel bad! I went dress shopping 2 days in a row w/my FMIL and every store we went to the sales ppl were like...this is YOUR dress...it looks PERFECT on you. I didn''t agree with them. (btw I had been dress shopping on my own before this as well a few times) I didn''t end up buying a dress although I had one in mind, one everyone else loved but I didn''t feel it fit w/my venue. I then was visiting a friend and we went dress shopping for us both, and after a few stores we tried out my GPS system and got lost in the MIDDLE of NOWHERE! We couldn''t find the dress shop anywhere. So...we decided to head back home the way we came into town. And then she spotted the store! We turned around and it was this little hole in the wall...next to a subway. I went in and we both tried on a few gowns...and I had grabbed one that didn''t look great on the rack...but may look good on. And it was THE DRESS! I don''t know where I''d be if it wasn''t for that hole in the wall! I called my bridal salon where I went before and ordered it in the state I was getting married!

isn''t it funny you find things when you least expect them? My dress was a deal like yours (the cheapest of all of them I tried on!)

Ooooh, gorgeous dress!! I really love it with the veil, too. You must be so thrilled to have finally found it, especially if the shopping experiences up until then had been lackluster. I hope you get to post some pictures of you in it, eventually!

thanks ladies! I''m really excited about it, I can tell that this is MY dress!!! I want to go back soon because I was reading old threads and some of the ladies on here expressed that it can take 6 months for a Pronovias!

One of the coolest things about the dress is it has a corset built into the dress, if I unzip it, the dress stays up...talk about security! That is going to rock when I don''t have to worry about pulling it up all day long. And it''s a certain type of silk (I forget the name) that is SUPER LIGHT and I know I will not get sweaty or hot in it!

thanks ladies!!! I was looking at it ALL DAY at work, so I know it is the one!!!

ETA: It's silk shantung, it's SO LIGHT and not heavy at all-I highly recommend it for anyone who is worried about being too hot on the big day!!!
