So my first fitting is on Friday and I''m a little worried I haven''t planned for it enough.

1. I don''t have my shoes yet. I am still deciding between flats and heels. Ugh. Must decide. I can probably do the hem during another fitting right?

2. Bra. The bra issue is always big for me. When I bought the dress, the saleslady said I didn''t need a bra - that the seamstress would work magic. However, I think I need something. Of course, it is next to impossible to find a seamless, strapless, extremely low backed bustier. I''m thinking of buying one and having the seamstress alter it and sew it into the dress. Do you think that is possible?

3. What else typically goes on during the first fitting? I''m assuming I''ll have at least 2.

Thanks!!

Shoes and undergarments are most of it. Although I had no idea what to do with my bra and just went without and the seamstress and I decided that the stickies you can get at Nordstroms are gonna be what we try first as my dress isn''t very ammenable to bras either. I would just call and ask them if it''s okay if you come and talk to them about the bra situation, and that you''ll get something for the next fitting. Of course, I''m gonna need three fittings, so... maybe that''s why my seamstress was okay with me just bringing in things next time.

Thanks Gypsy - hmm...I wish I had everything organized!

Any input on the flats/heels debate?

Wear what you normally wear for dressy occasions. If you never, ever wear heels, then don''t break them out for the wedding; you''ll be in agony. Because you''re undecided, I''m guessing you wear heels very rarely? In that case, I would wear a kitten heel. Something between 1 and 2 inches will be feminine and pretty but still comfortable.

Actually, I wear heels to work all the time. However, if I do my usual heel, I will be almost the same height as FI. I thought wearing flats would make us look a bit different that way. PLUS I really don''t want to have to cut the night short because of my feet being sore.

I know some girls wear heels and change into flats, but wouldn''t my dress be on the ground after that?

Thanks for chiming in!

i'm not sure what style of dress you have, but i went braless and LOVED it. my bodice was thick enough and held be in perfectly. in fact with a bra or cups i had spillage - not pretty. without, it was perfect & comfy.

you an also look into getting dimrs. i love these things. they'll work if you bodice holds you up but isn't super thick.

Hi Jcrow - I have Reem Acra''s Adored - but I am on the busty side!

Hahaha I love that link - rogue nipples HA!

Yeah I won''t need those because the dress is thinck enough - I''m just lacking support because it is backless!
