So... I am the lucky new owner of the Thai ruby! It just came in the mail and wow - blew me away! The color is an intense red and absolutely beautiful. I am going to set it into a ring - maybe as a three-stone or maybe as a halo.

@Calla-lilies I can’t wait to see what you end up doing with the Ruby! I was also eyeing that one, but I ended up getting @Dr_Diesel’s Ramon Tasoro precision cut spinel. It’s amazing and looks exactly like the photos, which is no small feat as the stone is incredibly difficult to capture! It was a wonderfully smooth transaction. Thanks so much @Dr_Diesel!
