Fun facts I forgot to add: the background of Eve is from the Mona Lisa. The background of Adam is from an interior shot of a medieval castle photo I found on flickr.

My thoughts: well I'm getting there. But I'm disappointed. Not soul shattering disappointed, but clearer on where I want to go with my work. Basically, I spent the last year still figuring out what I really wanted to do in terms of technique and themes. So I'm really just sitting on the cusp of that. Also, time to get my business model tighter. I'm being pretty vague, but if you're interested, I'll expand a little in following posts.

I go on vacation back to the States in a few weeks and plan to spend the few months doing some anatomy studying, work on some fundamentals, and plan out a new couple of series.

And pick up my Leon Mege ring and AVC studs!!! Wooot woot!

Since you asked, I like the one with the glasses also. I can see why they like the one they liked though but I think the one with the glasses feels more finished and a bit more optimistic perhaps? It's just the body language to me I think.
I'm sorry you were disappointed and I'm not sure why. I think you have a wonderful aesthetic and it appears from what you were saying that you have a clearer direction. I just had a failed experience at a client consultation that recently made me a little clearer on a direction I needed to go with so at least it was productive. I'm in Interior design and as with most art subjects, is largely subjective. I have realized some people will like your work and others may not get it but it still stings and I sometimes wonder if it will dissipate over time. I find myself wondering if I will have to die for people to recognize my genius. Clearly some people are not ready for me

Irishgrrrl, have I told you lately that I love you?!?

I have a whole set of new ideas I'm beginning work on. I sorta work on "year" plans and my years revolve around my annual trip back home to the States. Since I don't have a studio there, I do a lot of study and planning. I was just in Paris and had some great inspiration. When i have new work, I'll post them in a new thread.
