As a rule I lose very little. And I have quite a knack for finding things after a search.
I have an Apple Watch and I bought a Swarovski diamonte bezel, very ME. I had it a few months until I lost it during a morning dog walk, right at the end I noticed it was gone. It just sort of “clips” on. So I turned around and slowly and carefully retraced my steps. I was already 1 hour and 20 minutes into the walk so the slow retracing my steps took another two hours. Poor dogs, they kept trying to turn back “this way is home Mum, we’ve already done this bit”. No luck.
The next few days (I pretty much walk the same route every day) I rechecked the ground still looking “Come on Mum, why are you walking so slow” said the dogs. I resigned myself to the fact it was gone and sadly no replacement possible after checking on the Swarovski website “out of stock”.
Sigh.
Tonight the dogs kibble bucket needed a refill. I have to do this every few weeks. We keep the jumbo bag in the shed in another container. Last bit of the old 25kg bag so I pulled it out. Hang on, that’s my Swaroski bezel lying on the bottom of the container ! How on earth did I lose it in there and why did I assume I lost it during a walk? Very very strange.
Not complaining though.

Yay! Very happy for you @Bron357 that you found your watch. It is always (IMO) unsettling losing something and not knowing where it has gone. And a relief to find it. Especially something as lovely and useful as an Apple Watch with a Swarovski bezel.

That's a great ending to that story! How wonderful that you found it.

So glad you found it!

Almost had a disaster yesterday
was in Palmerston north and desided to call in at a big super market to see the cat food selection (there is a shortage and although Borris isnt fussy she does have her favourites)
Anyway i went to the checkout with a basket so full i went to get a trolley
As i was putting my purchases into the trolley the check out lady held up my ring and asked if it was mine
it was about to go under the conveyer
Talk about phew !
Its just my bargain $250 trade me auction win -i use it to anchor on my great grandma's wedding ring on my pinky
i would have been so sad to loose it
it was so cold yesterday and i was also cold in the shop i guess my fingers shrank

it sparkles like crazy under check out lights
it was flashing lots of red as the lady held it up
