So what do you guys think? Is it too much? I am not against the theme, but I want it to look nice and not overly literal. Color ideas?
In my opinion (and I''m from Iowa) I think it''s great! It might only be "to much" for some if it were stuffed phesant that you shot the year before as theme starter

. But if your into the redneck wedding I suppose that wouldn''t be bad either!
Do what makes you happy! To each their own!

OOOOooo bensbride! Check Etsy.com for awesome bird invites!

I just saw a great Knot bio that had a bird theme - she really did a great job! I will find the link & post it for you as soon as I find it!

Thanks Bensbride for the cake topper info! You were 100% correct, it is on several sites - but most easily availble on eBay - best price too!

Violet02 - those favors are pretty! I want a set for myself (since we already have our wedding favors)....where are they from?
They''re called Lovey Dovey tealights, but the only place they were listed at was here:
http://www.myweddingfavors.com/lovey-dovey-tealights.html

And it shows them as discontinued

... there has to be a place that has them though!

When you said birds I immediately thought about this set of rubber stamps. These would be awesome if you wanted to make your own invites, stationary, etc.

Redrose - Eww, that''s exactly what I don''t want...dead stuffed birds. That gives me the shivers...

Funny side-note. We were moving my FI out of his college apartment and the doors were propped open and somehow a bird hopped into the hallway. It then started to panic and started flying around and I became terrified that it was going to dive-bomb me. We told the story to the groomsman that is scared of birds and immediately his wife piped up, "Hubby HATES birds!" I laughed and looked at my FI and shrugged my shoulders. He will have to deal.

EricaR - I''ve seen that bird stamp at the local Hobby Lobby and I loved it! It wasn''t in a set, but its a very cute grouping in your picture.

Your birds are lovely and not scary. I love the invite with the blossoms. I think pink, green and brown look nice together too, if you want to eliminate having too much pink.

I think every culture is different so try to not worry too much. When I think of wedding birds I think of love birds or doves not anything scary.

I was in Anthropologie yesterday and they had a couple of different assortments of those bird stamps in tins along with some other fun bird themed items. You might want to go check them out too.

Found something for you maybe bensbride! Martha Stewart at Walmart. She has a whole dove pattern. Not exactly lovebirds, but they are very cute!! I bought the cake topper to set beside my cake or at my memory table w/ my Mom''s cake topper. It was only $20 and it looks like one I found on etsy that was $80! Anyway, I know you already have a cake topper and some ideas for invitations, but they had really cute placecards that I bought so I thought you might be interested in that. They''re white with a silver trim and 2 little doves at the top! So go check Walmart out, they had more in the store.
