...dining in great restaurants, but that's got to change soon. :((

Food!

YES! We keep saying we're going to cut back and then we accept another invitation to join friends at some other highly-recommended place... And it's not like we make up for it eating beans and rice the rest of the time.

Add me to the list of "people who eat out way too damn much." It's probably my biggest expense. The only good thing about working too much is that the client buys my dinner!

same.

<--- Another one who eats out way too much. I'm always running late in the mornings so I end up buying coffee and sometimes a bagel or pastry...then I end up going out for lunch because I don't have leftovers from the previous night's dinner because we ate out and there was nothing in the kitchen to throw together...then I get home and am too rushed or tired to cook, or forgot to take a chicken breast out of the freezer to thaw, so we go out again. It's a vicious cycle but I just can't sustain changes for the better, no matter how hard I try.

Eating out, purses and thinking of getting a new iPad even though there is nothing really wrong with my iPad 2.

same here...dining out, coffee everyday and friday night drinking at the bar.

This house.

designer shoes. The high AUD coupled with being on email distribution lists for NM/Saks/Barneys etc. will eventually send me broke.

Cookery books, I have over 70 and three more currently on pre order.

Eating out. :(

My kid...just lately...but you may not be allowed to say that...out loud....

P.s. teenagers are expensive...

Mainly our beach house though technically we haven't spent the money yet. We are saving up for our new bulkhead and a garage and a natural gas generator (which should have been completed for now but for a few snags but fingers crossed today is the day the generator project will finally be finished 5 months after it started!) in a separate account so when the time comes we do not have to take it from our investments. Though technically it is being taken from our investments because the money we are putting in a separate account would have gone into investments but for these projects. We knew about these projects before we bought the house though so it's not like it's a surprise but still, ouch.

Also, I spent way too much on boots this past winter but I just couldn't pass them up.

We spend too much money on getting take out or going out to eat. It's a really bad habit but other people are just much better cooks than we are. We should support their efforts, right? :cheeky:

Gas, EZ Pass bills, my car payment, and eating out at awesome restaurants :) but I don't mind the last two because they make me happy.

Honestly, I look at my CC bill every month and I am totally blown away at how much I spend on food alone. Even small food items, like every time I go and get a big bottle of water from Wawa or my small iced coffee's from DD. Oh well...

bling!! Not every month, but still far too much!!

food and beer!!!!!!!! hubby likes beer a little too much :nono:

bling and cute outfits for my daughter. In my defense, I get the outfits from a friend in the business, so I get them at her cost, but I still spend too much!

Same!

Teenagers are incredibly expensive! It's only March, but so far this year mine has already cost me the equivalent of a .70ish J coloured AVC! ;(

Shipping charges for returning things. I do too much online shopping and am a chronic "returner". Also, I've ordered quite a few gemstones online that look great but then not-so-great in person and to ship expensive gemstones back internationally is not cheap. I have decided to quit buying any gemstones that aren't in the US though.

I'm actually really good about making my own coffee and lunches at home and cooking dinner most nights so at least I save some money there. I have been spending quite a bit of money on my house lately too though.

Nothing, really. I just don't have the mental energy to regret what I spend and how, so long as I'm not in debt. Life is way too short to deny myself the dinner out or the cup or coffee if I don't have to. ;))

I think DH and I spend way too much money on cable, or whatever service it is that enables my husband to have access to all those hundreds of channels. Of course, I only think it's a waste because *I* don't really care for television. :cheeky:

we got rid of our tv bill!

probably baby toys!!! It adds up!

Animals. Between our own 2 dogs and 2 cats (one an eldery great dane on a continuous supply of expensive supplements and cartrophen injections), and then foster animals on top. All on top of the range food, most expensive litter. A rough estimate puts me at about $400-450/month?

It's funny though - it's not really "too much" or I wouldn't keep doing it! :twirl:

I didn't say that I regret it, just that I spend too much!

Oh, well said. I just spent a minute tallying things up, and it's not that I'm some kind of virtuous consumer. But life is too short to kick myself for going on periodic hatbox binges. Kudos!
