Omg! Just started reading it and it's set on my husbands yacht!!!!! His folks bought it and renovated it when he was a kid!!!! Hahaha so I have my gray!!

Just googled it and apparently Fifty Shades Freed is book three of the Fifty Shades of Gray trilogy - haven't read any of them, so I don't get the reference to the yacht.

The Fifty shades of grey trilogy a new book series that has overtaken Harry potter etc as the highest sales on record. Ive read them, not my cup of tea, however they are a romance novel and the lead character is the guy called Grey, and a huge proportion of the world is lusting over this imaginary character...

Anyway, I've just started reading the 3rd installment, and it's set on this particular yacht. Which in real life belongs to my husbands father! It's really not that interesting unless you've read the book I suppose! But it out a smile on my face. I'm not sure if the author is allowed to name yachts and write scenes on them. She must have found photos on the Internet and written descriptions and of course the name based on that..

That's my not very Interesting story! Haha

Just a point of clarification--This trilogy hasn't sold more than the Harry Potter series, it is just the biggest selling hit since the HP series. Big difference.

For anyone interested, the Fifty Shades books started as Twilight fan fiction. I'll let you judge for yourself whether that's something you think is a good or bad thing.

I know I must sound prude, but for the life of me I can't understand why it seems like a lot of people are reading a book/ trilogy about sex games and erotica??? Someone please enlighten me as this seems like a subject I would have no interest in reading.

It would be hard for the trilogy to sell more than a seven book megahit series sold over the course of a decade. At least, at this point. But who knows? Give it a few years and maybe the "mommy ****" will outsell HP. (HP is still on the NYTimes Bestseller list every week, by the way. It's been years now!)

Thanks for posting the link Haven. I had the same questions as Mydiamondsparkles. There are so many people reading it, that I feel the need to check it out, but it just doesn't seem my style, but it would be nice to understand all the references.
