You probably want to include the size too. Very cool ring BTW

D'oh!!

I'll take it somewhere that has a ring sizer (?) and snap some photos.

It escaped my mind, the last couple places I took it..

Is it reading 8mm in diameter? Here's a chart (which I find more accurate than most other sites) that helps you convert the ring inner diameters to ring sizes: https://www.carreracasting.com/charts/ring-size

(I did take photos of my rings for your original thread...but had such a busy weekend that I haven't gotten a chance to look at them till now, I'll get on to it.)

I don’t understand how to read this - I have never seen a ring sizer like that. So is it saying size 6?

absolutely beautiful tapered dome band -- so appreciate the patina and heft.

It would be helpful, OP, if you would confirm the ring size (and preferably in US ring size numbers).

Best I have for now..

Just asked the husband and he thinks it's reading just a hair under 1 inch, which would be 16 1/2 in US size and Z+++? in UK size...that's a pretty big ring? OP hopefully you can confirm it with a ring sizer!

Until I take it to a shop, this is the best I can do for a rough estimate..

I believe it's roughly .795"

I’m curious about real size. None of these measurements are super useful unfortunately!

When you confirm size can you update the thread? It’s gorgeous and I’m interested

Finally some clarity...20220727_153931.jpg

10½

Whew! That would be right. US size 10 1/2 is 0.797 inch in diameter so the sizer is pretty spot on.

And so the "8" on the calipers was for 0.8 inch rather than 8/8 inch! Learned a new thing today.

Good luck with the ring!

So now that we have the size straightened out, how about price?

and please UK sizes for the rest of us

i think my index finger is an X
i used to be a bit embarrassed but the jewler in town said its more common than you think
so a man's ring this definatly is

This ring would fit my middle finger most likely, especially in summer! I guess we have man hands then
:lol-2:
i have tiny hands but podgy fat short fingers :wall::wall::wall::wall:

Oand please UK sizes for the rest of us
its a very cool ring !

US size 10 1/2 is closest to UK size U 3/4 (U 1/2 is 0.791mm in diameter, V is 0.799mm, and US 10 1/2 is 0.797mm).

ETA: Sometimes I I start thinking that German ring sizes are the least confusing (they're literally just the internal diameters in mm, as far as I can figure out), but then again I do have an emotional attachment to the UK sizing system, it's got "character"!

More finger estate! And no...definitely not man hands, you both have perfectly lovely lady hands from what I've seen! Don't be silly.

I was told not to take less than $1200

Should that range be unacceptable, no worries, I'll just throw it on ebay; worst case scenario, I've already been offered $1000..

Thanks

It sort of fits my ring finger lol, no others (with the exception of the pinky)..

I think everything on everyone was smaller back in the day...
Diet and work....

Okay $1200 I assume is your asking price then.

You also need to make a listing on a marketplace (Loupetroop, Etsy, EBay etc and link it here so that an interested party can contact you.

Is there a way to PM/DM on here?

Otherwise I'll just post my Ebay handle, and go from there..

No, there is no PM option.

Honestly, Loupetroop is probably where I would post it first. It’s easy to use and best of all it’s free to list an item for sale, unlike Ebay.

I have stellar feedback via ebay (over a decade)...

Okay, then list it there. I just figured that Loupetroop is free and it can’t hurt but whatever you are most comfortable with….

Good luck with your sale.
