Fedex didn`t charge for taxes at delivery

Hey all!

Just a quick question for anyone who has had an engagement ring delivered from one of the Pricescope vendors to Canada. We recently had a ring delivered (value approx. $8000) to Canada from the US, and did not get charged taxes by the Fedex delivery person. We have been expecting a bill from Fedex to arrive in the mail for the taxes but have yet to receive anything. It has now been about a month since we received the ring. Has anyone had a similar experience. How much longer will we have to wait for the bill. We would rather just pay the taxes now so we don`t have to keep thinking about it! (I apologize for the lack of question marks, but my keyboard is acting up!)

I can't speak for Canada (I live in the UK) but I think you will get a bill. My last purchase was billed after about 6 weeks. If you want to get it paid up you can contact them and ask to pay it. I'm sure they won't turn you down

That is strange. Typically they will not clear it unless you pay up, and require a copy of your cc information and a power of attorney form. Why don't you call FedEx and just ask them?

We did call Fedex and they said they do not get the invoices for approximately 90 days (whatever that means!). So I guess we just have to wait until then!

I think that is unusual. Any time I've had something delivered from the US via FedEx, I had to pay the taxes right upfront before they would hand over the package....maybe you already paid the taxes in another portion of the invoice??? that would be a lucky break if there were no more bills coming in!

Can't comment about the tax but to fix your keyboard there should be a small icon along the bottom of the computer screen along the task bar (closer to the right side). It looks like a small keyboard with a wire coming out. When you click it you need to set it to US instead of Canadian French to fix it!

Also, we did have to provide the power of attorney forms, but they did not ask for any credit card information!
