Going back and forth over different ideas for our wedding favors!! Keep in mind that I am having a winter wedding!!

# 1: Adorable iced cookies - shape of a wedding cake with dots, a bride, and a fleur de lis! Wrapped in celophane and tied with a red bow to mesh with our colors!

# 2: Personalized Hot Chocolate packet.. The ones you can order online that say "The Perfect Mix" blah blah blah

# 3: CD with our favorite love songs and songs that brought us together!

# 4: Monogrammed pint glass or wine glass. (not leaning towards this one because a good friend did it last year)

I would love feedback. I have been told that unless the favor is edible it ends up in the trash, but I don't want to believe it!

Thanks girls! Hope all wedding planning is going smoothly for all of you!! Love reading all the posts and gaining as much info and ideas as I can!!

The iced cookie, with the packet of hot chocolate as my second choice.

Ditto!

I wouldn''t love the glass or the CD - but the other two I would definitely use/eat!!

Cookie is my first choice, followed by the hot chocolate.

Not all inedible favors end up in the trash (my FI keeps everything), but they are all piling up dust now. I think that these are things that the couple should be ordering for them selves, not for other people. The only inedible favor that I think will be truly appreciated are pictures, but you can''t do this until after the wedding...

I love the cookies. The hot chocolate would be a second choice... but personally I''d get better hot chocolate... I''m a hot chocolate snob though so that''s me. The glass and the CD... meh.

Sounds look cookies it is! Thats what I was hoping for! I love the cute designs as does my FI. My mom was the one trying to steer me another way!! I have been looking at the ones from www.twosmartcookies.com. We want to somehow get a fleur de lis one because we both love them and they go with our city (louisville) plus we both plan on getting a fleur de lis tattoo on our honeymoon! It will be both of our firsts - scary!

Ditto :) I love cookies :D

I agree. Love songs that you like might well make 20% of your guests happy, and 80% of your guests nauseous if they don''t share your taste in music and nobody really wants a pint glass (and definitely not a wine glass) with someone else''s initials on it. But cookies and hot chocolate? Everybody loves!

COOKIES!!!!!!!!!

I'm in the minority because I think the CD idea is really cute, too.

My second choice!

I like the cookie idea! Sounds really cute!

I''m with the majority here - first choice is definitely the cookies followed by the hot chocolate.

Cookies are delicious! I vote cookies

ditto everyone else! cookies, then hot chocolate. cd favors are good in theory, but chances are *most* people will only like one or two songs on it, and they''ll probably already own it if they like it, know what i mean?

Cookies sound like a nice, personal touch

Cookies would be my vote too.

I would personally prefer the hot chocolate, but that''s because I rarely like cookies, and I don''t like stuff personalized with couples'' monograms, etc. I would prefer to use glasses with my own monogram, and probably would not take something like that with me. So #1 Hot chocolate, #2 cookies, #3 CD (I''d probably actually love it, but who knows whether your guests even still use CD players what with MP3 Players and iPods and all). Glasses doesn''t even register with me unless they were just plain.

One of the edible favors. Probably cookies first then hot chocolate.

None. Honestly I''d save the money and use it elsewhere. Party favors are just money out of your pocket and I don''t believe that any wedding guests "appreciate" the favors as much as what you spend on them.

1. I think that is a very cute idea!!!
2. I live in Florida so hot chocolate wouldn''t be my favorite.
3. Oh God no...I''m sorry but there''s something about mixed CDs that screams cheesy
4. I actually love this idea.

So all in all I would go with either #1 or #4.

Believe it! Or, at the very best, shoved to the back of one's cabinet. I wouldn't care for anything with someone else's monogram, and CDs are kind of obsolete in my world... plus, someone else's favorite love songs are not top of my list for songs to be acquired. (Sorry for the brutal honesty!!)

I vote cookie then hot chocolate. Mostly because with the cookie, I could eat it RIGHT THEN!

I vote for the cookies, too! You all have to go look at their website -- there''s a picture of a plate of wedding cookies with rings scattered on it. Haha, very PS. They also do an engagement ring cookie with sparkly sprinkles on it. That would be such a fun engagement gift for a friend.

Ditto.

But if you HAVE to do them, I''d go cookie.

But I totally agree with the eating it right now. And who doesn''t love cookies?
