The soundtrack for the movie "Up Close and Personal", Celine Dion''s "Because You Loved Me". It was supposed to be played at our wedding but wasn''t, but I still consider it our song.

Just thought of another favorite, Dr. Zhivago. Mostly instrumental, with this song being one of my top all time faves. There are some stunning pics in this video, which is why I chose it, not the best rendition I''ve ever heard...

Good one! Reminded me of ''Lawrence of Arabia'' too--some of that music just perfectly captures the vast, sweeping desert vistas. Love it!

O Brother Where Art Thou
Chicago
Mama Mia (I''d actually never heard any ABBA until that movie)
The Breakfast Club (who can get enough 80''s?)

I also like a few of the really old ones like Singing in the Rain, Meet Me in St Louis, etc

animal house!

"fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son."

Donnie Darko
Cruel Intentions
My Fair Lady

Great thread! Mine are:
West Side Story
South Pacific
Kiss Me Kate
High Society
Chicago
Fiddler on the Roof
Purple Rain
The Great Gatsby

How fun! I am such a hippy, I loved the Dazed and Confused soundtrack when I was a kid.

I''ve always loved the soundtrack to "THE LAST AMERICAN VIRGIN"...love the rock ballads on there

The Breakfast Club

I''m sure I have more, but these are the ones I remember right now!

the August Rush soundtrack was pretty amazing, too.
