I know there are a couple examples in past threads, and I''ve already looked at those, but do any of you have an example of a program for a Catholic Mass?

I''m just not sure how I want the layout to be. Did you start with listing the members of the wedding party, or did you start with the outline of the ceremony?

Within the outline of the ceremony, how did you have readings and prayers listed? Did you include who was doing the readings within the ceremony outline, or did you have them with the wedding party?

Basically I''m just looking for the whole outline of the program if you have one!

I will ask my sister if she has her outline from her Catholic Mass wedding but that is what I remember offhand...

I don''t think there''s a right or wrong way to do it but the outline of the ceremony came first, then the wedding party. I''ve been many programs, Catholic or not, done this way. It''s probably just a matter of preference but I would think with a Catholic Mass you would want a clear outline of what is going on first, especially if you have a lot of non-Catholic guests.

Within the outline of the ceremony, how did you have readings and prayers listed?

Yes, my sister included the scripture information and the prayers. I don''t remember if she actually had the whole reading/prayer text in there, but again, I think it matters if most of your guests are Catholic or not. If not, I would include it just so they aren''t completely lost for an hour and can follow along if they are Christian or if they just want to do so.

Did you include who was doing the readings within the ceremony outline, or did you have them with the wedding party?

Yes. i.e. I was the MOH & read the intercessions. For the intercessions part my sister just listed the response and off to the right margin she put my name with "Bride''s Sister". Then, in the wedding party section, she put MOH.

Basically I''m just looking for the whole outline of the program if you have one!
P.S. She also included a little blurb about non-Catholics not going to receive Communion...I don''t know if you plan on including anything like that but it is the proper thing to do so that non-Catholics don''t feel obliged/confused and take the Sacrament. By BIL''s family are Lutheran and no one had a problem with it because they don''t attach the same meaning to the Eucharist as Catholics do, so it would be improper for them to receive it. Hope that helps.

i posted mine before i think. let me go dig it up.

also, does your church provide you with an outline or example? so do, like mine. we had to have ours approved by them as well. just a thought.
