I just wanted to pop in here and sing her praises!! With all the destruction of the East Coast she has reached out to victims. One of those is my niece and soon to be nephew. Her sisters wrote to Ellen and posted on FB . All sorts of wonderful started to happen!
They were flown out to California on Sunday and yesterday taped the show. It was on today!

We also know of a family in Breezy PointNY she has been in contact with.
We have always enjoyed Ellen but now we love her!!!

Elisa, such a wonderful story! Thank you for sharing. Please post the updated clips, since Ellen said they'd be checking back in over the next couple of weeks. How wonderful for your niece and nephew. They sound like truly wonderful people who deserve a little good back for all they do for others! And kudos to your other nieces...such a lovely group of ladies! You must be one proud Aunt!

Wow, that is great! Elisa, it sure looks like you have a great supportive family and a wonderful niece and soon-to-be nephew. How fantastic that they were recognized for their hard work under immense stress and trying circumstances. Now I want to see their house completed!

We are beyond excited for them! I will post the update.

The best part for us is that the superintendent of our school gave my DH and I off Mon-Tues so we can deliver the clothing, food and cleaning supplies that we collected this week at school. We collected 3 classrooms full of gently used warm weather clothing, who knew Florida had so many jackets sweaters and gloves!
We will be loading up a 16 ft moving van and heading to NJ! The Salvation army women we contacted with cried when she heard what we had collected.

My room looks like a scene out of Hoarders! These pictures are only 1/3 of what we have!!

You are probably on the road up to NJ, but eager to hear of the updates - isn't US Thanksgiving this coming thursday??? So excited to hear the update!!!
