I just had an e-photo session with FI on monday in pittsburgh, pa. I didn''t get any photos back yet, but I have a feeling that they turned out bad. FI and I drove from Maryland to Pittsburgh the night before and arrived in Pittsburgh around 2am. I got about 7 hours of sleep, but was still tired and battling a cold. I realized after the photos that I forgot to put blush on my cheeks for the photos (I just purchased new bobbi brown blush for the photos and completely forgot about it) and I just felt stuff and congested all day.

We took photos in front of/on a lovely bridge, in a restuarant, in the city of oakland, and on mt. washington. We changed outfits a few times, and I started out w/ curled hair and straightned it half-way through. I feel like the straight hair looked "stringy", I felt nervous during the pics b/c I said I want more "natural" but theres nothing natural about taking e-photos, and I felt congested and sick.

Did anyone else feel bad about their photos and then surprisingly love them? I am hoping thats what happens. Right now I''m really scared.

Why stress out about something that hasn''t happened yet? Try to relax, I''m sure you will love at least some of the photos.

marchswallowbird is right.

that said, I always just assume my photos will turn out gross because 85% of my photos are really unflattering. haha. but that doesn''t help!!! just don''t worry. the worst case scenario is - the photographer will touch up your photos (add blush if really necessary), or make them black & white so you can''t tell that there''s any blush missing. and in this worst case scenario, I can guarantee you will have at least a few photos that you''ll love.

but I''m sure it will turn out WAY better than the worst case scenario

. and listen to marchswallowbird. she is very wise.

Thanks girls! I don''t know what I''m freaking out about them - I just didn''t feel my best and I am surprised that I was a little nervous taking the pics (I really didn''t think that I would be). But towards the end I was wayyyyy more comfortable, which is a good thing because I know I will be comfortable on the wedding day.

I can''t wait to get the pics back - I kinda feel like I just took an exam and I''m waiting for my scores. (nerdy I know). FI is so cute and says I looked beautiful and he knows they will be great. so I am going to try to take his word for it!

i was really worried about our pictures! when we got home i looked in the mirror and was horrified that i let myself be photographed looking like i did. i haven''t seen all of them yet, but the pictures that i''ve seen our photographer did an awesome job of retouching my icky skin and choosing to process pictures that i didn''t look total ugo in. even if you weren''t feeling your best i bet that your photographer will be able to find lots of good shots where you can''t tell

Thank you so much mimzy! I went back and read your thread about how you were nervous before your pics and then I saw your pics and they are perfect! I am hoping the same thing happens to me! I am just feeling stupid b/c I forgot to wear blush I just felt all around awkward. I just hope we get the pics soon so that I can stop worrying!

haha yeah, i was SOOO nervous. i bet that yours will turn out even better! i hope you don''t have to wait too long to see them!

Hi LauraBabe08
35.gif
You''re like my wedding twin! We are getting married a day later than you (March 15th) and we took our E-pics two days before you (Saturday).

My photographer just sent me a teaser pic and, um, I''m not exactly thrilled, but its not his fault. I feel like my roots are showing and that fiance''s pants are too wrinkled, my bangs are falling flat, our outfits don''t coordinate-okay, I''ll stop now. I think I might just be hard to please!!

The moral is, we''re much more critical than others are. I''m sure I won''t ever be 100% happy with my pictures, and I have a ton of apprehensions as well. I guess the both of us can just wait and see..!

Keep me updated and I''ll do the same for you.

(PS, here''s the silver lining: You probably took a lot of time and effort in choosing your photographer, he/she is probably very skilled and will make your pictures look gorgeous!)
