Yup. If your writer says dvd-rw, it just means it can also right dvd-rw discs as well as plain old dvd-r discs. Very few people use -rw discs tho. They didn''t when it was cd-rw discs, and they still don''t for dvd-rws. the -rw means it''s a rewritable disc, but you have to specially format it before you write to it. Otherwise it just becomes a plain old -r disc. Most people never do that step or don''t need to rewrite so they don''t use the -rws.
