Hi all. I don''t post a lot, but I am literally almost in tears here at work and I need some major PS dust. I have made an appointment for this afternoon for an ache I''ve been intermittently having in my right arm pit area. I have a family history of cancer and I''m terrified that this ache is going to be leading into worse things.

I''m only 30. I have a son and a wonderful FF. I haven''t told FF about the appointment because I don''t want to worry him. I just am trying to stay positive and I need help doing so. Right now it''s not going so well. I''m getting nauseous and I''m shaking in fear.

Thanks in advance.

please stay positive! I know it''s easy for me to say but I had a breast cancer scare many years ago so I know how scary the unknown is.

PLEASE think positive! My thoughts are with you!

DUST for you!

+1

Yes, stay positive...it may very well be nothing serious.

Lots and lots of special PS *dust* your way!

(HUGS)

BIG hug and dust going your way immediately!! Thritto staying positive, it might be nothing at all to worry about but of course you are doing absolutely the right thing in getting it checked out. I have been in a similar situation also with pain in the area, there was a non sinister reason for it once I saw a medical professional.

Keep us posted XXX

Lots and lots of ***dust*** to you! Please try to stay calm and positive - it could be nothing serious. Good luck at the doctor and let us know how you''re doing.

*HUGS*

Sending a ton of ****DUST****DUST****DUST*** your way

****DUST DUST DUST**** by the truckload! I hope that it''s nothing. Please keep us posted.

Big hugs and lots of dust going your way! Please keep us posted!

Thank you all for the Dust and the positive thoughts. Seriously, I'm trying to stay as positive as I can. When I called to make the appointment the woman asked if I felt any lumps and if I was having pain above my breastbone. I don't feel any lumps, but I'm a criminologist not an MD so who knows what I'm feeling, and the aching feeling goes down my arm and down my side so I said I didn't think the pain was above my breastbone. But again, I don't know.

This is the worst feeling EVER. Thanks again for your kind thoughts and dust. It's going to take a miracle.

Hang in there Ledke, I know how scary it is but there could be a simple explanation and nothing horrible going on, try to keep positive - thankfully your appt is today so not long to wait. I know when I was in your situation I was terrified but it turned out to be something harmless in that area that was painful, so it isn't always bad news.

stay positive and lots of dust your way!

Don''t let your mind wander to the worst case scenario. Pain is a funny thing and can often come from something simple and minor! Sending lots of dust over to you!

Thank you all so much for taking the tiem to wish me luck and Dust! I am calming down a little, but I still have that awful pit in my stomach. I''m doing my best to stay positive and ended up telling FF about the appointment; now he''s all jumpy and freaking. I will check back in later and update.

Thanks again!

Lots more dust for you! I can''t imagine how you must be feeling, but ditto to staying positive.

***dumping buckets of dust***

Never forget the power of positive thinking...

Sending lots of dust and positive thoughts your way!

lots and lots and lots of dust for you!

i understand how hard it is, i''ve had lumps before that have been removed and a history of CA in my family as well.

i know nothing will help until the appointment, but if it helps at all, usually if there is pain associated, that''s actually a good sign. its the "non-painful" issues that are usually worse.

Sending dust and big hugs! I've heard the same as what Charbie said. My sister had a scare with a lump in her breast six months ago, thankfully she's fine! I'm sending positive thoughts your way!

Lekde you are strong and brave.

Big Hugs!

I''m glad that you are taking good care of yourself by listening to your body.
I have also had Health Dread, and know the relief and freedom that comes after seeing a doctor and facing the unknown.

Here are two songs by Ze Frank that may help:
chillout song
scared song

Major dust and best wishes! My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Lekde - Here''s hoping for the best for you. I''m sure it''s probably just one of your under arm glands (That''s the nicest I could type that? LOL). Sending hugs, warm wishes, and lots of dust.

Hoping for some good news!

Praying for good news. Sending lots of dust your way. (((HUGS))))

I just want to thank EVERYONE!! Your dust worked! I spoke to the doctor and she sent me for an ultrasound. I had both breasts read and I have only one teeny tiny little cyst. She equated the underarm pain to womanly body chemistry and both the radiologist and a second doctor agreed. She said glads get swollen for unexplainable reasons and there is nothing to be concerned with. I have dense tissue and that could be another cause.

Although, because of my immediate family history with breast cancer, I am to go back once a year for ultrasounds and possibly a mammogram.

Thank you again everyone!!! What an awfully stressful and worrisome day! I''m glad it''s over.

Oh dear! Lots of healthy *DUST* coming your way!

Please keep us updated!

An ache is just an ache, until your doctor says otherwise. I know; I''ve carted myself to the emergency room for neck, shoulder, and chest pains because those are classic heart attack symptoms for women. It was just an ache. It''s good to see a doctor, but it may be absolutely nothing at all.

You must focus on what you know - - right at this moment - - rather than what you do not know. If you are reasonably healthy, have never had a prior brush with cancer or other nasty diseases, then you have every reason to believe that it is just an ache.

Breathe. Relax. Pray or meditate. Stress never helps.

And, of course, let us know what the doctor said.

Delighted to hear that you''re ok! You must be so relieved!
