At about the age of 25 I went through an "upper body" growth spurt. I didn''t gain weight or take hormones or get pregnant... nothing, they just grew a cup size. Anyway I''ve never really been all that comfortable with it and I like to keep covered up. I''m a C cup so definitly not big but I just feel more confortable not showing anything especially since I ran into some old college friends that thought I had implants.

Long story short, I have gotten quite use to not showing skin on top and feel more comfortable covered. Finding a wedding dress that fits my level of comfort has turned out to be a bit of a headache. everything is either halter or spagehtti or strapless. I want to be covered on top. Not turtle neck covered but mot showing to much bare shoulder and such. Anybody seen anything out there?

There are plenty, you''ll want to ask for something like "chapel ready" dresses when you go to the store. Another place to try is stores that specialize in Hasidic weddings, again, those brides need to be well covered.

Many dresses can also be made to include sleeves, so it''s always worth asking!

How do you feel about your back showing? This is a lovely dress, but dips in the back:

Also lovely, coverage in front and back:

This has good coverage, and you could add a "privacy panel"

Don''t know what the skirt looks like but this could be pretty:

VERY Chic - audrey-hepburn-esque

"Beautifully Modest" also has a wide selection of wedding dresses

I believe they cater to the Mormon population, as they are based out of Utah, but several of the dresses are quite lovely and would work in any situation.

I love this one by Casablanca; if I had seen it before I got married, it would have been the one!

This is the one I had customized with a beaded net overlay (like the sleeves) on top of the satin.

Honey, I understand wanting a gown that covers and that you are uncomfortable flashing the girls around for all to see. But it does concern me that your friends (erronious) conclusions have made you feel so defensive... the whole tone of your post was trying to convince us that your assets are natural and you make it sound like an affliction (which it might be for you). We don't judge here. You say you want coverage, we give you coverage. There are all sorts of gowns below, the last one I think it really lovely -- but so are all of them. Welcome!

Odd... These were female friends? I can spot implants a mile away... its a talent that men have after having studied women''s chests for their entire lives... You can tell natural ones when you see them... no matter how good the doctor is...

Try asking the wedding dress stores if you can get alterations ... that is what I did with my strapless bridal gown... raised the neckline 3/4 of an inch.... you can also ask a dress maker or seamstress to add fabric or lace to the neckline... Otherwise - try dresses with staps - they generally provide more coverage than strapless gowns.

Oh, that one''s adorable! Darn my non-existent dress budget and existent dress!

I find this one quite pretty. It is from Nordstrom and is a steal at 188.00

This is also from Nordstrom and 298.00 for a Calvin Klein! I have a "C" cup and I wore this dress for my destination wedding. My dress was all satin and no lace or lace coverup but it was the exact same dress. It was so so comfortable and was very well lined and did not show body flaws like satin is notorious for. It even tolerated a TTD session in the Caribbean sea like a champ!

I''m not sure how formal your venue is or your taste in dresses.
