I got a call last week saying my dress was in and I should call for a fitting appt. I called on Saturday and I was informed that dress fittings for October brides generally aren''t done until 6-8 weeks before. My wedding is on the 4th of October. Regardless of that timeline I do plan to go in and make sure they at least got the right dress/size in... I don''t want to wait until 6 weeks before my wedding to see the dress.
The question is this though.. my bridesmaid that is going to come with me to the fitting is leaving the first week in August to go to Europe, we were hoping to do the fitting on the 1st or thereabouts. Is that too soon (2 months out)... the woman I spoke to on Saturday said it needed to be more like 6 weeks from the wedding... even though they said 6 to 8 weeks. I know that weight gain etc might play a factor in that long of a time frame but I''m still the same weight I was pretty much when I ordered the dress.
Is it better to wait until closer to the date or is going in around the 1st of August going to be an okay timeframe for the first fitting?
