I'm sure part of the reasoning behind the giveaway/contest is so people WILL worry about it and go into a posting frenzy there by upping PS's page views, etc. The political thread got closed...there went a ton of page views.

I do think it is luck based and it should go to anyone that just happened to be the lucky one, be it a newbie or long time poster. The old timer will feel rewarded for hanging around often. The newbie will feel encouraged to stay and post more. Either way, there will be publicity and an uptick of activity on PS. I'm too afraid to imagine if the requirement is for a person to post 3M posts as their post count.

Me, too. I love to read stories here about people's lives, their impending engagements, etc. I'd really love to see ANYONE win, period. Pricescope has been one of my internet rocks (NPI) over the past 6 years, and I am so happy to see them doing this. No matter who the winners are, I will be happy for them. I may not agree with some regarding politics or personal beliefs, but I think deep down, we all share a love for bling and that's what makes me feel a level of comradery with every member.

hehe I had this same thought too!! Although I suppose it is still equally a surprise to most people unless you are obsessively watching the post count...but that's no fun!
