awwww so cute! at first I thought lucy was lucy! my friend''s dog! her dogs name is lucy and she has the same marking same everything! her dog is a australian shepherd pointer mix! what is your lucy?

Thanks Zoe!! They're my babies. It is so funny that they love the snow so much. Lucy is from Georgia, and she came to CT through a rescue group when she was an adult. Jasper raced in Florida and was raised on a farm, which was also likely in a warmer region! But, they both really, really love the snow. I can't say the same about rain though.

Thanks YT!! That''s so funny! Since we got Lucy, I''ve noticed there are a lot of dogs named Lucy!

We were told that she''s a beagle/hound mix. I see the beagle, but think they just said hound because she is a LOT bigger than a beagle. She''s about 50 pounds. She could really be part beagle, part any other larger dog. It''s hard to say!

well she is adorable! and so is Jasper! they remind me of my dogs! They are both springer spaniels but one is skinny and runs like a race horse and the other is more pudgy so she is always trying to keep up! doesnt it make you just happy watching them play!

Oh that''s just so cute. My parents used to have a dog that LOVED the snow. He''d sit outside in freezing weather until he had little drool-sicles on the sides of his mouth.

They look so happy.

Cute

I love when dogs "eat" snow. "NOM NOM NOM this is the best treat evarrr"

Very cute.

Great pics, but why make them so small?

Beautiful dogs.

Awwww great pics. Makes my heart feel all warm & snugly looking at pooches'' joyful romp in the snow. I used to have whippets & they loved the snow too even though it didn''t take too long for their teeth to start chattering. Wish I had such a low percent of body fat. LOL.

Beautiful dogs.

lol what size of screen are you on? I have a 24" iMac and they look decent to me?

Great pics! Isn''t a dog''s enthusiasm so endearing?

Thank you, everyone for your compliments on my babies!!

Matata, I love whippets! (I never see any around here!) Yes, they do get cold fast! Jasper has a very warm coat (special for greyhounds) for walks.

Kenny, They are small because I don't know how to re-size photos and retain quality.

Help me, please! I know they recommend using Paint on here, but whenever I do that, I get terribly distorted photos, but it is not perceptible until after they are posted.

So, today I used Picasa and "exported" them into smaller sizes, until they got to less than 100kb. They were all close to or over 2,000 kb when I started. Thoughts? Advice? Help? Anyone? Is there a way to re-size, by changing the dimensions directly?

Those are some really great pictures!

I size not by the size of the file measured in KB but by pixels.

I like around 600 x 800 pixels.

Those look in to 300 or 400 range to me.

I''m old and like big pics.

Sounds perfect! How do I do that?

Can I do that in Picasa?

This photo should be larger . . .

Beautiful dogs!

In that last picture (of the "small" ones), Lucy''s ears remind me of a Corgi''s..

lol! They''re brilliant photos!! They look like they''re having an amazing time. We had snow here last Thursday and Amber literally ran from the door to the first bit of grass that she found in the garden, peed and ran back in. She''s not a fan of it at all!

What great pictures! It looks like they had so much fun. My little chicken would probably refuse to leave the porch!

Awww they are SO cute. Makes me miss my puppy who used to LOVE the snow. My favorite was throwing snowballs to him and he''d try to catch them and then get really confused when it disappeared when he chomped down haha.

AWWW...super cute!!
