My SIL has done the following to help her pups when she's out of the house:
- She leaves music (or sometimes the TV) on to provide some light "background" noise for them. She turns on classical music to calm them.
- She crates the pup that has more anxiety issues; that pup loves her crate... it's like her own little fort.
- She has a basket of toys readily available to the dogs so that they can have some stimulation while SIL is away.
- Occasionally, she leaves them with a rawhide or a chew stick so that they're entertained.
I think the main thing is to make sure the pup feels secure and stimulated. An anxious and/or bored pup equals trouble (as I'm sure you know).
