Does your life ever feel like this?

I found that disconcerting. I think the hamsters lost control and I don't know if they were bright enough to know that their earlier actions (two of them running together) caused the latter consequences (the two of them clinging to the sides of the tumbler like animals caught in an electric mixing bowl on high speed). I don't know if they are bright enough to learn that the former action causes the latter reaction no matter how many times the sequence is repeated, either!

It looked like the wheel was controlled by somebody else, not the hamsters, like w/electricity. If so, disgusting & awful.

I don't like that video.

I think it's hilarious and laughed my @ss off watching it four times.

Having had hamsters who love wheels, it's very clear to me they're having a blast, joyfully playing of their own free will and in full control of the wheels's movement.
Noticed how they stopped it, and were even in control of which direction it turned?
Much more intelligent animals enjoy amusement park rides.

Apparently people vary. :o

Cute video. We used to have gerbils, and yes, they love their wheel.

I like how they run, then hop off to eat. They are definitely having a blast. :twirl:

I thought that was hilarious --- but felt sorry for the poor hamsters when they were whipping around like the Tilt o whirl - Whoa - they must have been pretty disoriented getting off of that ride! :twirl:

We had guinea pigs and they had no interest in movement, but friends had hamsters and gerbils and they used to just go insane in their wheels, but not at the same speed this contraption seems to have mustered up!

I apologize, then, Kenny. Never have had hamsters myself. I fully take your word for it that they're having a ball! How do they keep from throwing up when they get off that thing?

P.S. I HATE amusement park rides; maybe that's where the lack of understanding comes from!

Thank you; no problem.
I also never go on rides. :knockout:

When I was a kid we only had wheels of this old design, which could not reach anything near the speed of the one in that video.
Occasionally the hamster would get it moving fast enough to hang on and do a full 360.
It's fun to watch the silly antics of these critters.

My worst hamster memory was of a mom eating her little pink hairless newborns. ;( :o
I was around 10 and was thoroughly traumatized.
I swear, I can still hear that crunching munching sound.
