Does anyone here own a scooter/moped/Vespa?

I''m not totally sure where my interest came from...but suddenly it''s there.

My husband is a big time motorcycle rider...he owns two bike, both are much to big for me...actually every motorcycle is to big for me since I''m a wee 5''1. So, I started looking at other motorized things I could ride and enjoy...and I discovered scooters.

I have spent a few weeks looking, compairing different popular brands like Honda, Vespa.... And then on the cross-over J&K+8 with OCC, Kate got a really cute Schwinn scooter, and I was like

about. So I found a local dealership that sells them, went to look at one and I really, really liked it...it was very comfortable. It''s small and can only go about 35mph, which is perfect for me since I''m not a speed demon by any means, and would really just use it for local driving to and from the store, dinners out and other close to home places.

My DH decided that if I go ahead and get one, he''ll get one as well so we can ride together since obviously I won''t be able to keep up with his Harley or sport bike.

So, I''m planning on buying them for us tomorrow...but was wondering if anyone here has any experience with them??

I just bought a scooter last week! It''s a Genuine Buddy 50 cc scooter in seafoam green and I absolutely LOVE it. It''s so easy to drive, and I''m actually already better at driving it after only a week. Mine is supposed to only go 35 mph but it can get up to 40 once it gets warmed up. And I plan on getting it derestricted it the 300 mile check up. Once I do that it should go about 45-50.

Below is a pic from the website, but the color is much better and way more minty/seafoam in real life. I would highly recommend checking out the Genuine Buddy-it was my favorite of the scooters I checked out and researched!
