Wedding DOC - How much are they?

So we were thinking of hiring a day-of-coordinator (DOC), how much should we expect to pay?

Does a person who is "certified" charge more than one who isn''t?

Does location matter?

If you have a DOC, how much are you paying and where is your wedding going to be?

I looked into hiring 2 different day-of-coordinators. Both were located in large cities in Texas and each charged around $800 each. I don''t know if they were certified though.

We ended up not using one for a few reasons and I really don''t think I missed it.

Typically, they run anywhere from $400 to $600 for the day of coordination. And well worth the money I might add.

It really depends on the degree of services you need and the size of the wedding. A good coordinator is worth their weight in gold. We found our through a referral and checking with friends who were recently married. We have already referred her to two others who will be using her.

It looks as if cost are very area dependant, I am hoping some of the bay area/napa brides could chime in and share how much their DOC''s are charging.
