I was thinking the same thing, "why wear a watch, I have my cell to tell me what time it is". I had a beautiful Gucci watch that I recently sold on E-bay, because I felt guilty not wearing it. I didn''t want to damage it, looked to pretty to wear...I prefer bangle bracelets over a watch anyday!

I wear my Cartier Panthere every day. It's the smallest size one they do, which is perfect for my micro-wrists, and is stainless steel with two stripes of yellow gold.

I bought it for myself and I love it.

It makes telling the time a real pleasure.

I have a gorgeous watch, bought for me by my beautiful husband.
Actually, it was Christmas Eve a few years ago, at about 4pm he goes "let''s go get your Christmas present!"
OMG how alarming!!

So we hop in the car, he takes me to the ''nice'' jeweller in his favourite shopping mall, and we ask about ladies watches.

There were only about three left to choose from! Luckily for me, my beauty was right there.

she has a slim rectangular m-o-p face, with the same width stretchy pull-on band, and is yellow gold in colour (my fav) all over. I wear her every day, and she looks like gorgeous jewellery.
Whenever I see the ''stars'' wearing those huge stainless round faces with leather straps, I wonder what I''m missing?!

Sorry to thread-jack..but I wanted to make you feel a bit better/commiserate with you. I was in a summer class recently and we were discussing MTV and advertising and I said.."but who even watches MTV that can vote? Sure the target age is supposed to be 18-30s...but it''s not really..I mean who in here actually watches MTV? I personally stopped watching before I graduated from HS." Half the class raised their hand. I felt old.
