Do you wash your car in the winter?

You'd want to see his car, though. I've never moved so fast in my life, and I went on Concorde once.

We go to the car wash all year round but we don't wash our cars ourselves. The last time I tried, my car was so full of streaks and it looked terrible. I took it to the car wash and it looked brand new.

uh, you absolutely would not see someone washing their cars in winter seasons around here. That's insane. Want your locks to be frozen and your windows to freeze shut? It needs to be at least 33 degrees out. It's 17 right now and even if you get it washed indoors it doesn't matter. You will still get frozen locks and windows- sometimes doors too.

Do you not have the large indoor ones that air dry your car when you get to the end of it? Our two major car washes are quite long. You drive onto the belt, put the car in neutral and it takes you thru.

My car color is called Pearl Mist, or something like that. Whatever sparkly pearl color they put on the Impreza (no hood vent - hate those silly things). It shows dirt but doesn't really look dirty if that makes any sense at all. Clean = bright sparkly pearl white while dirty = creamy sparkly pearl white

Weird...today was 3 F and I went through the carwash no problem. My parents live in an area that is regularly below zero and they always get it washed in the winter as well. Maybe Canada has some special super dryer!

ETA: I drove home from Montreal yesterday and a fuel truck had crashed so the highway was closed. It was 11 hours through muddy side roads. You couldn't see my brake lights by the time I got home. I had to get it washed!

We get our cars washed and detailed in the winter. DH has gone out now to get it washed. We need an appt soon for a detailing.

ETA: He has a company car. Mine receives more TLC ;))

Oooh, car detailing! Thanks for the reminder, Marian! My husband's car needs to be detailed and I'm planning on surprising him by getting it done. I just keep forgetting to make that phone call.

I am from Minnesota also and while we do have the carwashes that just take you through they never seem to get it all the way dry and often in the town that I live in they shut down the carwash if it below a certain temp. When I got my first car (many years ago)of course I was very proud and thought I would go through the car wash then that afternoon when I left school I proceeded to break my drivers side door handle trying to get in  so now I rarely wash in the winter and this year there would be no point cause we seem to get inches of snow every 3-4 days!

Heck yeah! We wash our car year 'round.
It's been in the mid 60's lately so we washed our car yesterday actually...

We have one of those drive-thru car washes in our neighborhood, so the 5-year old in me likes to go have the car washed just about every time we drive by....
