As for the seedbank, I think I stated then that my impression was that it was more to protect biodiversity than to guard against natural disaster. The article I read on it was waaay before all this 2012 nonsense, and said absolutely nothing about it protecting against the end of the world. That sounds like very sensationalist reporting.

If we make it past 2012 fine then I think the next doomsday is in some year when a comet comes close.?

Awww, me too. 2012 or 2013, anyway. That''s what I think of every time I hear someone say something about their doomsday theory. I think "the world better not be ending when I''m going to be doing my darndest to bring a much loved, much wanted life into it!"

I''d bet there''s not one in 1000 people on this board who have actually read Nostradamus. I haven''t. But my mom did and thought all the hype was...hype. Twenty-someodd years ago there was a big thrash about some alleged dire prediction from something Nostradamus wrote, and they were ooo-ing about it at my mom''s office. She asked them, "Have any of you actually READ the book?" They all looked like deer in the headlights and said, "Well...no." She said, "Well, maybe you should. I have. And it''s hard making any sense of it whatsoever, let alone getting any of these supposed predictions out of it." People see what they WANT to see. Oooo! Death! Destruction!! Cataclysm!! Retribution!! Judgement!! Conspiracy!! SECRET predictions that only the IN people can interpret for the masses!!! The Western world is quite prone to it. We just LOVE DOOMSDAY!!!
