I read that 67.5% of men wearing diamonds are affiliated with the maffia, 17.9% are in the music industry, 2.5% are gay, and the rest are straight men.

I am friends with 99.9% straight guys here in NM, and they really like seeing my new gemsThey also come to me when they are looking for something for their wives, and MANY times for themselves. The guys here especially like my turquoise matched with yellow gold. So, in short, I think my buying, sharing and wearing gemstones brings more interest... And my knowledge brings smarter people to jewelry stores where they can raise questions to local jewelers that have never been raised before... treatments, certification, etc.
And forgive me... but I lean toward agreement with Holly
If you search for insults, disagreements, and intolerance... you will find it EVERYWHERE... This question is BEGGING for a negative response... I live in a world where being gay is supposed to be completely unacceptable... and yet I have NEVER had a problem... Joking about my sexuality is how the guys deal with it... If I took offense to everything they said I'd be one lonely person.

Oh! I didn't even think of the maffia but that makes sense.![]()

Like some of the posters above, I don't get the inclination in asking this question either and frankly I kind of agree with the person who found this question to be quite daft / a moot point. No offense intended.
Now "raffia" seems so sinister to me.Tacori E-ring|1295737577|2830036 said:Oh! And if you were as 'intelligent' as you want me to believe that you are, and I DO believe that you are, you would have understood this response to be about the question as it relates to Pricescope.
No one here has given you any pause (to my knowledge) that should lead you to believe that any of us would have a definite basis for believing that gay men buying diamonds, gems, or involving themselves in a forum about diamonds, is in any way BAD for the industry.
I believe that you are not interested so much in opinions, as you are in seeing if you can stir something up. The only thing you found to stir up was my comment, which you chose to find personally insulting. Well, guess what? I found your question insulting. And I think everyone here should have found it equally obnoxious.
Get over being gay. It shouldn't define your every waking moment. My being heterosexual doesn't make me think only in terms of my sexual preference on every issue, every topic, in every moment of my day. Stop throwing up your gayness as a yardstick by which you measure the rest of us.
Now chew on that.

Oh, please. I don't see any of our other minorities that have been mistreated in the past posting stuff like this. Only Kenny does, and Kenny also brings his sexual orientation into just about every post he makes here. He has to add it in like it's a thorn in our sides and he enjoys poking at it.
Most of us here tolerate him just fine because he IS smart, and he shows it in a lot of ways. But posts like this and the insanely huge chip on his shoulder about his sexuality just irritates the majority.
ETA: I agree with Holly completely. That happens quite a lot.
