What amazes me is the consistent amazement at the knowledge of children flying alone. Aside from new policies about who they can sit beside, it's hardly a new phenomenon, it's been going on for a long long time, and no one thought too much about it before now.
But then we live in a culture that is so freakily hyper-security conscious, that it seems we hardly let kids out of the house without a hazmat suit, riot gear, a giant can of Lysol, and a bullhorn anymore.
