I would say that I exclusively use platinum for rings, but just recently I've learned the joys of rose gold and high-karat yellow gold and have expanded my horizons quite a bit.
I do not like white gold. I'm one of those people who has a sensitivity to the nickel content so wearing it, particularly in ring form, is not an option for me. I do own a few white gold pendants and earrings, though.
not really. I'll all about yellow gold, the higher the better. I'll wear rose, but I don't wear white, platinum or silver. I'm a yellow gal through and through.
I generally pick 14k yellow gold for my stud earrings, rather than 14k white gold, because often (such as for pearls) you don't see it and I prefer to avoid any possible nickel allergy problems. I will, however, pick 14k white gold for dangly earrings rather than platinum, because I don't like weighty earrings, and platinum is heavy.
For necklaces and rings, I love all metal colors and wear them all.
Nope, I'm a big believer in the right man - er, metal - for the job. So though I prefer platinum for anything I know I'll be wearing a LOT, I have a lot of love for high karat gold, rose gold, silver, and even copper as well. Not too fond of white gold initially, but seeing all of the gorgeous unplated pieces on here is changing my mind ...
I love yellow gold for pretty much all jewellery (necklaces, bracelets, bands on solitaires/three stone/5 stone rings etc), but any piece of diamonds jewellery that is all prong, like shared prong eternities, diamond studs, tennis bracelets, prongs on diamond rings - I much prefer white gold.
