I don't.
I like to get to the point, take care of business and hang up.

Some people call me and want to chit chat and linger on the phone.
I'd rather see people in person but not blab or catch up on the phone.

Do you love to chat on the phone, or no?

Nope, not a chatter. I don''t like this texting business either.

Me me me! I like talking on the phone, but I do have a few friends that aren''t phone chatters, and it gets awkward, so I tend to make a polite excuse to hang up pretty quickly.

No I don''t. Unless it''s a Dr. or a call I''m expecting I never answer the phone. Drives friends/family crazy.

I''m the same way.
We have caller ID.

If person X calls I just don''t answer it.
She hates this.
Too bad.

I don''t have caller i.d. you talk...yell on the machine-ha

I love caller id. There are some people you just don''t want to talk to.

I have a dear friend, we will call her P. She is in her late 40''s, but acts very old and set in her ways. She refuses to get a cell phone and just called last night to tell me she changed home phone service and that she gets caller id and needs to know how it works.

I had to explain how it worked, she does not have a phone with a display for it so she will have to buy one. She just makes me laugh so hard. It is 2009 and she is asking me how to work caller id!

I am with you Kenny. I only have one friend I will talk to on the phone for a long time. She lives in Co, and I''m in CA. This drives my kids crazy. They want to
call from somewhere they are bored at and chit chat. Maybe when they are all moved out I will want to talk on the phone, but I kind of doubt it.

I''m ok with the texting business. It gets to the point without a lot of pleasantries that just waste time.

I have noticed that a lot of people have blocked caller I.D or ''private'' comes up. It makes me nuts!.

I hate the phone. I never answer it. It''s never for me anyway.

If I''m expecting a call I will watch the caller ID for it.

Nope, not a phone person either. We let most calls go to the answering machine. I''m sure my MIL thinks I''m rude.

I don''t like the phone, but it''s a must for staying in touch with all of my friends/family who live far away. Texting and email isn''t personal enough, sometimes.

Big no.

No I''m not chatty on the phone. But I do talk more than my husband! LOL

negative

Not a phone person AT ALL. I only use the phone if I have something particular to say. Even then, I prefer e-mail or face-to-face. Strangely, I was addicted to the phone as a teen, I could spend hours talking!

I absolutely hate talking on the phone. I''ve lost friends because of it. But texting I''ll do all day. I even text my coworker that sits next to me to gossip lol

I don''t like it so much, no. My husband is a talker when he gets on w/his friends. He can spend 3 hours (and he did regularly before the kids came) on the phone yammering about hunting experiences from 10 years ago. I''m always doing something when I''m on the phone so having the phone pressed so hard against my ear to hold it in place has permanently flattened the outer rim of my right ear. Looks ridiculous. I need a headset.

In general no... But for my besties.... I will always pick up.

Good grief no. I''m on the phone quite a bit at work. At home I won''t even answer it unless it''s my parents or my son. I pay for the phone. It''s for me to call out, not for you to bug me with sales calls, or other random crap.

Nope, not a phone person. I don''t know how I spent hours a night talking on the phone when I was a teenager.

depends on the person im talking with .A few of my close friends out of state will call once a week and we will catch up the week and talk for a hour. Some people i like to talk with in person. At work i get to the point and on to the next person needing help.

If it is a close friend, yes I do.

No. That''s why I have Michael Jackson''s "Beat It" programmed into my cell for those certain people that love to call me to just chat

No. I''m on the phone all day at work and I just want some peace and quiet on my free time.

Me, too! I warn them not to take it personally, but some still do!

Depending on who it is. If it''s one of my friends that I haven''t seen in a while, we can be on the phone for ages. Otherwise I''d just prefer to meet up with the person.

I do like talking on the phone, but not all of my friends do. With those friends, I tend to rely on e-mail to keep in touch with them when we can''t get together in person.

I don''t mind talking on the house phone. I really dislike trying to have a normal conversation on my cell phone.
I''m not a big fan of cell phones- their size, how they sound, the blackout zones etc. I really carry one just for emergencies. My husband, on the other hand, is attached to some phone (either cell or house) eighteen hours a day. He''s a real phone fanatic and has talk to his fishing friends every minute he''s awake. That would drive me nuts.

I''m with you Kenny!
