I miss M&S at this time of year - big time.

My sister promised to send me M&S mince pies and they haven''t appeared. Fortunately Canuk-Gal also makes the best pastry in the world and has given me the recipe, so I am going to make some mince pies next week.

I do love M&S Luxury Christmas Pudding. This must be the first year I don''t have one.

And M&S Italian chocolates are yum-scrum! Nope, don''t have any of those either.

OK, now I''m homesick.

I got DH pack of the mince pies for his Christmas stocking and some turkish too.

I really love the M & S sales...great to get all the sweeties at a reduction. But I am stuffing my face

for Christmas so have promised not to buy any sweeties in the sale - no matter how reduced.

Your waist line will be grateful you are away from all the treats.

I make a very traditional recipe that is loved by all who eat it. Most people who have never eaten good fruit cake, cannot believe this is the same fruit cake they''ve eaten elsewhere. It is laborious to make, but well worth the effort. I use the best products I can find.

Honestly, once you''ve eaten the good stuff it will spoil you! JMHO tho.....

Without a doubt Sharon makes the best Christmas Cake in the world. I''ve even had to get up out of bed in the middle of the night and come downstairs for a slice.

I was brought up on Christmas Cake and have been a ''Delia''s Creole Cake'' fan for the last 20 years.

Sharon''s cake tops them all.
