I would say I've a soft-spoken funky/dramatic style. I'm not afraid of color or pattern and I love details on clothes, but I never want an outfit to wear me. I love vintage clothing as well (hooray waist!), and tend to love things from the fifties and sixties (yes, early and late sixties). I'm all about funky accessories, as long as they don't overwhelm an outfit. I love to have some part of an outfit that pops.
Skirts and dresses are soooo much easier to "fit" than pants...no rise to worry about! This ease is my trade off for having to shave my legs more often.![]()
I've had to learn how to put an outfit together. I tend to err on the side of caution at times, but also believe clothing functions as more than body covering.
I work in theater as a director, writer, and performer. Right or wrong, I've gotten more than a few gigs because I wasn't in the "uniform" of t-shirt/hoodie/jeans and/or all black.
I'm that chick you see wearing yellow shoes.

BUT...when I go out, I like to wear jeans, heels, and a nice shirt or a cute dress. Never anything too bold or anything that stands out. I like to keep it simple.
Oh, and I have an obsession with shoes. So right now I'm on the hunt for some over-the-knee boots.![]()
