Thanks so much for thinking of me, Sharon. I was thrown off-line for over four days by a massive wind storm that hit Connecticut and no one seems to have noticed that I was missing . I was highly gratified to see that you had mentioned me here!

In the old days when we were still allowed to discuss politics in Around The World, I was always there and I would have said that you would find me discussing weighty issues such as the distribution of wealth in the United States or World Peace. Now, however, you will find me relegated to charm bracelets and high karat gold threads.

As for the original question, I don''t think I have a niche here. I''m drawn to the etiquette threads because I have a large reference library available and I like to share that information, but I''m certainly not an authority on anything, myself. I just like to stick my nose into everything.

I don''t. I original came to PS to learn about diamonds and spent a ton of time in Rocky Talk. I researched and then asked for advice when I needed it. I tend to gravitate to that side of the forum when I read but I don''t post that much now that my wedding is over. BWW was where it was at for me last year.

I guess there is no better time than any to say that I don''t post that much anymore in RT due to somethings that are going on. I truly believe that 99% of the posters that frequent this forum are here to help people. Unfortunatley a few posters, while knowledgeable, are antagonistic and I believe their posts are self serving. This has become increasingly worse in the past few months and I am amazed that nothing has been done about it.

Due to the amount of personal information that I have shared over the years on this site I don''t want to say anymore. My only hope is that the new people that find this community find kind consumers and professionals to help them with what they are looking for.

Interesting thread!

When I have the time to give the subject what it deserves, I like to hang out in RT and try to help educate newbies (or anyone, really) about the options of gorgeous, lower color/clarity stones. I also LOVE the techie threads, even if/when they get VERY DEEP and/or heated... I learn so much from them.

I also love SMTR -- seeing all the beautiful new bling and having some small part in sharing the poster''s happiness and excitement.

But when time is scarce (like lately) I pretty much just check out Hangout, and try not to miss any cat threads (especially Ragdoll ones!)

deco does bring a lot of spice to Pricescope. I don''t think I have once said a nice word about or to her, but I have appreciated her silently for years. (I didn''t say anything to her because so far I thought everything in her life seemed OK. In other words, maybe I wasn''t reading the correct threads.) At any rate, maybe it''s time to say that, in my opinion, she does have a niche. She breathes fresh air into the musty old place sometimes .
