Re: Do you feel self-conscious about your jewlry at work, or
The population I will work with are going through some of the worst moments of their lives. Some of them will be court ordered. I don't want my jewelry (or appearance in general) to be a distraction. Also, I feel it will put me at risk and don't want to be a target of any theft/violence. Maybe I am paranoid, but I will be working with some desperate people. If I was ever to go into private practice I still don't think I would wear my wedding set. People may not want to hand me over their hard earn money if they think I am just using it for jewelry.
ETA: I also don't plan to have any photographs of my family or anything too personal in my work environment.

...? I'll be in mental health as well but I'm not sure how that plays a role in jewelry? Just curious as to why because it hasn't crossed my mind and I'd like to hear your thoughts.
