I am wanting to get a new piece of jewlery, but really can''t narrow it down because there is no place to put it. I am one of those people that wear the same thing everyday because it has sentimental value and wouldn''t want to trade off. I really would love a new ring, but don''t want to wear a ring on every finger. Currently I have a nice balance on my hands, but I am dieing to get something else. I was even getting excited that I might get something for my b-day and then realized that I already have earrings, necklace, bracelet, watch and enough rings. How am I supposed to feed this craving?

Pierce your ears again?

And you can always get lovely well made bezel set diamonds to put in nose piercings too, as I discovered. Wasn't it Marilyn Monroe as Lorelei Lee who said "I just love finding new places to wear diamonds"? A nice tiara perhaps?

Kidding aside, I feel your pain. I just impusively got a lovely spinel and, though I finally concluded a necklace would probably be it's final destination, I have a hard time swapping out the antique filigree one I wear all the time to wear my pearls even. What a lovely dilemma huh?

I totally understand. Hubby said I can have something for Christmas but there isn't a darn thing I need cause my hands and ears and wrists are full. I wear the same stuff every day so it's not like I change it out. I also don't wear colored stones cause I have a thing about matching and color doesn't go with everything. (I have a color/symmetry OCD) What am I to do? Does'nt everyone wish they had this problem????

Just saw the post above mine...I have 3 diamonds in each ear...I think I have enough holes in my head!!!!

I actually don't like to wear many rings at one time, I usually only have on my wedding set and a thumb ring on my left, and a RHR on my ring finger. I really only ever change my RHR.

So yeah, sometimes I wish I had more hands to wear rings on. Although I don't mind just collecting loose stones.

And it sounds like you should branch into colored gems, eventually you'll get enough to match all your outfits! It would give your hubby easy things to get you, he can just peek into your closet for ideas.

Diamond brooch that could double as a pendant? Tough problem to have....

ETA: RQ...how do you feel about writing instruments? Because Montblanc has some lovely ones that feature bling...

You can just hold those in your hand when you need to rather than wear them on an appendage.

Feed the craving by buying more and rotate the colloction every day so no one piece gets too jelous of the other pieces(jewelry has feeling too ya know!)...remember and always say the jewelers monta when passing a jewelry store..."its never enough"",its never enough"until you buy something new!

When I was in college, I must have looked like a Christmas tree: I was sentimental enough to want to keep *everything,* and acquisitive enough to keep getting new things to mark various occasions. So I had rings on every finger, multiple necklaces ... the works. Eventually I realized I needed to start swapping things out/rotating the memories ....

But as to how to sport sufficient sentimental pieces without looking like I did back in college? Cultivate your collection of stacking bands and get some cute necklaces that can be worn together. Or start an expandable piece, like a necklace that you add a diamond to each year until eventually you have a Riviera ....

Ah, if only this was my problem

An anklet?

I never wear the same thing two days in a row, so for me it wouldn''t be a problem at all. New things just go into my personal inventory. Try not wearing the same pieces everyday and you''ll find you have basically unlimited body parts to adorn.
