Do you accessorize your jewelry with clothing or do you accessorize your clothing with jewelry?

I''m sitting here trying to figure out what to wear and find myself trying to find a dress to match my jewelry instead of the other way around. How about you? Do you pick your jewelry to match your clothes or do you pick your clothes to match your jewelry?

Depends. There are days when I wake up and think, hmmm... I''m really in the mood to wear this particular ring/necklace/bracelet/watch, what outfit would go well with that?

Most days, however, I wake up and think hmmm... what''s clean (enough

) and btw what jewlery goes best with it?

it goes both ways. I dress very casually most of the time so alot of my good jewelry looks silly. I have a beautiful strand of pearls that were my grandmas and I almost never wear them because they look silly with tee shirts. But if I get dressed up or alittle nicer for day to day I get all excited that I get to bust those babies out!

I decided what I''m wearing first then I chosed the accesories!

Both. Sometimes I want to wear an article of clothing and accessorize to that and then sometimes I want to wear some particular jewelry and wear clothes to match that.

I do this too....depends on my mood. I think if I am really itchin to wear something then I will just work around the one piece. But it depends on my mood.

I pretty much wear the same jewelry every day (diamond studs & pendant) and those go with nearly everything in my closet. When I''m going to the beach or somewhere very casual, I''ll will put on a simple silver tiffany necklace to match my shorts/tank.

I was just chatting about this yesterday with a couple of clerks at my favorite jewelry store. We all buy clothes with necklines and colors that go well with our favorite pieces of jewelry. A sign of true gemoholics, apparently!

Depends, if I have a piece I really want to show off, then the clothes will go around the jewelry. But mostly the clothes first then the jewelry. I have a dress to wear tomorrow for DS's graduation. I haven't thought of the jewelry yet, but will pull pieces in the AM. I haven't worn the dress yet, so will have to play with it a bit.... Mostly I am boring, willl wear such and such with, such and such... I am trying to break that mold...

Same as pretty much everyone else. For every day stuff, usually jewelry with the outfit. But if I really want to wear something jewelry-wise (sometimes I want to wear something for a sentimental reason to a special occasion) then I choose the outfit to go with the jewelry.

Ditto. My big getting-dressed question then becomes: mostly silver or gold jewelry?

I lurvvve jewelry. Most of the time I pick the clothes to match the jewelry that I want to wear. Of course, it needs to be suitable for the occasion and place that I am going to.

On most days, I wear very simple jewelry that pretty much goes with everything. So, I pick out my clothes first. For special occasions, I used to be all about the dress. However, as I''ve purchased more high-end jewelry, my perspective has changed to wanting to showcase the jewelry. So, now I pick out my jewelry and then pick out the dress.

It''s amazing how you don''t really care about jewelry until you get your first extravagant piece. I used to NEVER notice other women''s engagement rings until my husband gave me mine. You could have waved an 8 ct. diamond ring in front of my face, and I wouldn''t have noticed. LOL.
