i just received my reset on saturday and now i''m debating whether i should wear it to bed at night, i have a wooden headboard so i don''t think it should be an issue, but i wanted to run it by you guys

should i be more worried that i will damage the headboard with my e-ring? i know i''m paranoid, but i finally have THE ring

we have a wooden headboard too.my wife doesn''t wear any of her rings to bed cuz she''s afraid it might scratch the headboard ,but she does wear her watch 24/7, weird

I don''t take off my ering at night and we have a wooden headboard. So far I have''t banged the ring off it!

We have a metal headboard. So I take my ring off because I don''t want the headboard to damage my rings too badly.

Not just that, by I''m also terrified of my prongs catching on something, not to mention punching FI in the face and leaving a ring gouge...

I don''t wear mine, for the headboard issue, and I also read that the bedding rubbing on the ring every night will wear down the gold.

I don''t wear any jewelry to bed because I don''t think it''s good for the jewelry. (Prongs and pave'' could be loosened in the long run and the stones will get smudged, prongs could catch on the sheets, rings might scratch me in my sleep).

I don''t wear any jewelry to bed because I find it''s uncomfortable. My fingers swell in my sleep and I don''t like earring posts digging into my head.

Heck, I don''t wear jewelry as soon as I walk in the house, much less in bed! First thing I do when I get home is take my shoes off and then take my jewelry off.

I don''t wear my e-ring, but I do wear my wedding band. We don''t even have a headboard, but I leave it off because I have already beaned FI with my ring once in my sleep - I''d rather not hurt him!

I used to but my set was all channel set band and faux tension ering so nothnig to snag, until I got pregnant, due to my swelling, then it went to only my wedding band (plain gold), now I don''t at all. I''ve had lost my ring once during my sleep (must of been dreaming and took it off while I was sleeping)

I try not to sleep with my ering on, and I always wear my plain wedding band. We have a wooden headboard but I scoot down too far in the bed to reach it with my fingers when I sleep

DH always wears his wedding band.

I typically take my jewelry off at night for comfort reasons.

Same here. My fingers swell a lot over night. I don''t wear my rings at all in the house, only when I go out.

What are you people doing with those headboards that would cause that kind of damage??

i take my jewelry off as well at night for comfort....i don''t feel comfortable sleeping with any jewelry on. also my fingers tend to swell at night and i the morning when i HAVE worn my rings (like when traveling) they sometimes are way too tight for comfort.

Me too. I hate sleeping in jewelry.

I do not wear any of mine to bed at night.

My custom jeweler told me this is THE NUMBER ONE cause of wear over time. He uses fine cotton to wear down/polish gold during custom work. He says the sheet will wear down the gold overtime. If you want much more life to your rings, he suggests you take them off before bed!

I always take mine off and put it in the jewelry box before bed. I move around a lot while I sleep, and my headboard is metal, so I didn''t want to risk damaging the ring during the night.

Wow, that''s interesting! Thanks for sharing

I''d heard the sheets wearing down prongs thing, too.

I don''t wear mine to bed, but the major reason is because my fingers swell when I get warm snuggling under the covers and it''s uncomfortable. And, a ring is certainly a hazard to the person sleeping next to you!

I can''t wear my rings because of my DH''s HEAD issues. I''ve knocked him a couple of times and gashed him up really nicely with my rings. He could care less about the headboard, but his beautiful face (his words) can not be marred!

I wear mine 24/7. I figure life is too short. And I don''t move that much (training provided by 4 chihuhuas between our arms and legs).

I don''t wear my rings to bed, but after hearing about the sheet thing, I think I''ll start removing my earrings, too!

I do wear my rings at night, but sometimes I scratch myself while I''m sleeping

Lol. The main reason I don''t wear my rings to bed is because of our headboard. It is metal and could damage my rings just from my nightly tossing and turning habit. I also worry about taking out DH''s eye or part of his face or something if I fling an arm at him randomly. Then there''s the dog that sleeps with us... Basically, all good reasons not to wear jewellry to bed.
