Wedding DIY aisle runner?

Just wondering if any of you ladies made your own aisle runner? I found plenty of instructions online and even made a fabulous monogram for FI and I with our date and everything today! The instructions online have you basically trace it onto muslin and then paint over it. It looks simple enough but I''m no artist so I don''t know how steady my painting would be. Anyone try it??
