Has anyone here been on a Disney Cruise? I'm about to book a 7 day 6 night Disney Cruise to the Mexican Riviera, and taking my kids and my parents, for a family vacation this Fall. Is it fun for adults too, or would my parents be totally bored? My husband and I are young at heart, and whatever makes our kids happy makes us happy. I'm just worried whether 2 seniors would have fun?

I will be going on my 3rd Disney Cruise this Aug (on their new ship)...and it's WONDERFUL! I say it's the best vacation with kids and even if we didn't have kids...I'd still love it. We cruise a lot and the Disney Cruise line just does everything right! The first time we went we took my parents and they loved it. They want to go back.

The only think you won't find on board is a casino

Fabulous! We did the 10 day mediterranian in September and the four day Bahamas in December and had the time of our lives! The shows on board were fabulous, the food was great, accommodation was first rate, and excursions were terrific! Everything Disney does is first class and you will not be disappointed! Btw, we are in our 50's and took no kids on the Med and took the college daughter to the Bahamas. Seniors will NOT be bored!

Thanks for your feedback! I'm pretty sure my parents would enjoy the food and shows, I'm just concerned about what they'd do during the day. My mom is always on the go, a little OCD in the cleaning, scrubbing, cooking, more cleaning. She has no idea how to sit and relax, so I can't picture her lounging around the pool sipping a drink. I went on a 5 day cruise with my husband a couple years ago, and I also found myself well entertained at night, but a little bored during the sailing days. I think I'll buy them some good books to bring along.

There are so many events going on during the day (sail days) that your mom should be ok. My dad is like your mom (I call him Felix Unger) but he did find a lot to do during the day on the ship and he also relaxed in the pool with the kids.

When are you going?

Our neighbors, who are retired, have gone on several Disney cruises with their children and grandchildren. They recommend them highly and said there are tons of activities to keep people busy and having fun.
