Yep, it's a genre. Found out today via a colleague who, um, seemed to know all about it. Apparently this is part of a wider genre called monster erotica.

Let me clear up for you some of the initial confusion that I felt when I heard: it's dinosaurs having sex with people. Specifically, male dinosaurs with female people. I was so fascinated in a car-crash/stunned/slo-mo/can't look away kind of way, that I read an excerpt on Amazon. It was completely gross and will haunt me until next year, but all the reviews were glowing! People really like this stuff!

It gets worse - although I find this much funnier than the above. Dinosaurs having rough sex with cars is also quite a thing among some circles!
