did you hear about the girl with 56 stars on her face???

this girl in belgium(did i spell that right?) said that she went in to have 3 stars tattooed on her face, went to sleep and woke up with 56 stars on her face. she is now suing the tattoo artist for $17,000.00 to pay for them to be removed.

this sounds unlikely that she fell asleep. tattoos are painful and i cannot imagine that anyone could fall asleep will getting needles drilled into your face, but that is what she is claiming.

have you seen this? it is on you tube. what do you think?

If her parents bought the sleeping excuse then I have a bridge to sell them

personally i think she asked for them all and then when she got home her parents flipped out so much that she made the lie up about only wanting 3 and falling asleep.
 
A little much, perhaps, but not too awful.

Yeah, she's full of it - she got the tatt, daddy got mad - so she made up the story.
No way you can sleep through a tattoo, let alone a face one *ouch*!

Plus, on the news story the tattooist was showing photos of her in his album from after it was completed
- she didn't look upset in any of them, yanno?..

However, apparently the guy has agreed to pay half the costs - I wonder why he would do that?

There''s no way she slept through all that unless she was SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEWED up. I am surprised though that they didn''t require written confirmation before tattooing her. Every time I''ve been in a tattoo shop, they require a consent form including your age, a detailed description of what you want the tattoo to look like and where you want it, and a declaration of sobriety.

It would seem the rules are a lil more loose in Belgium, lol..

Maybe. If you''ve got a gazillion tattoos elsewhere and it''s just another day, another tattoo. Otherwise, nope.
 
I agree Hudson...I have tattoos...you are not going to sleep through that!
 
Now Im gonna sound like the odd ball out but I did nod off for one of my tattoos. granted it was for a second then I woke back up (it was really late). do I think SHE nodded off, NO. however if you had a tattoo you know the always draw it out first, see if you like it then apply that image to your skin so the artist can trace it (thus giving you better lines and better work) so she HAD to have seen it, when they put it on her she HAD to say she liked the placement and then she gets it done.
I think she was high on something, she thought HEY what a neat idea, got it and didn''t understand the permancence of it got home parents flipped then it sunk in (and the drugs wore off).
 
I agree with everyone who said tattoo''s hurt way to much to be "lulling"...I have 7 and have never found the experience to be peaceful. Clearly, she got what she asked for!

One of my staff does have multiple tattoos, and he did fall asleep while having his back piece done. It is a pretty big piece, so I guess once you lay there long enough...
 
i could *almost* buy it, except for the little star under her eye. That skin is just way too sensitive.

Ditto, a tattoo isn''t a sharpie. I just don''t buy it.
 
Rule Number 1:

Never put anything on yourself that you can''t remove in 5 seconds or less.
 
I guess "my dog ate it" just wouldn''t have worked for this one........ she probably tried THAT one in school at some point too.......

"Why is the artist saying he''ll give her some of the money back if he didn''t do anything wrong" someone on here said? My guess is that''s he''s probably a decent guy who is worried that his reputation is on the line with this idiot kid who''s blaming HIM for her own stupidity and he''s just trying to make her happy and make this whole thing go away. Kudos to him........

Man I kinda wish that was true. Because i''m getting a tattoo near my spine next week and it would be really great if I could sleep through it, cause my other one was PAINFUL. lol
