Did he say what I think he said?

Is it the N-word he stopped himself from saying?

I'm pretty sure he was headed to the N word. Replayed it a few times ... What was going on in his head right then !?!?!

Probably the same thing that made him say "blah people"

They would be blahniks!!

Well there's a new twist on your "political platform"... hahahaha! - "Manolo Blahniks for ALL"
I'm in for a size 9!

Oh, yeah, he was totally going to use the n-word. That's why he's so garbled afterward, he is panicked.

Yea I kinda agree with this.

Oh, Kenny, , this post has nothing to do with politics, I can really tell!

This.

I remain skeptical, but SO thinks it was a play on "house n."

I didn't vote because I can't tell for sure. That said, his quote about black people (but he really meant "blah people" ) makes it clear he's racist, so who knows. I wouldn't put anything past him.

I think a lot depends on what you think of the guy.
I don't know anything about him, as I don't live in the US and hadn't really come across him before, beyond seeing his name pop up here occasionally, so I don't believe I have any preconceived ideas about him? I think he said something that he knew to be offensive, inappropriate and potentially self-destructive, given his flustered reaction. I'm not clear on exactly what he said, to be honest, but from his reaction, I don't feel like it was anything good or kind.

If I may be allowed to go off on a tangent for a moment regarding this word:
You know what upsets me is hearing black kids calling themselves this word on the train all the darn time and while I understand why they do it still really upsets me. It's just not OK to use no matter who you are IMO. :blackeye:

THANK YOU

I used to work in a highschool with black students and would CRINGE whenever I heard that word. The principal told me it was a whole new world and I would just have to get used to it...I used to bust kids down to Affirmative Action when I heard them, but they complained and I got talked to!!!!!

I wonder if kids today have the nerve to call their grandparents that word. Their grandparents are a too familiar with the pain and degradation associated with it. Too bad the kids are so clueless. No, I guess in most ways it's a GOOD THING,but still......

I'm not a fan but I don't think he said the N word. That video is pretty garbled, so I can see why it comes across that way though.

Here are a few gems I found: http://theweek.com/article/index/223041/9-controversial-rick-santorum-quotes

These quotes are priceless! You can't make up stuff this funny!
I don't find it all that funny. Mostly just terrifying that some people nod in agreement to that stuff.

If I can't laugh about this guy blathering on about the crusades I surely won't make it through November. It's going to be a long election.
